Etsy Promoted Listings Yay or Nay

make sure you press cost per click and put it at 10cents or less otherwise you're wasting $
i find it invaluable for seeing what is popular in my store, you can see the amount of impressions and clicks it gets
that way you can list more items that are getting more interest
it will also let you see what key words to use...like what descriptions work best
so i like it
even just for a week or two to see what is popular not necessarily to get more sales

Sometimes I use them, sometimes I don't. Just depends on the products.

When it first came out I could get substantially increased hits and sales at $.02 & $.03 but now I also have to get up around $.10 to get any increase. I didn't care when I was bidding low, because I thought that by the evening other people's accounts had exhausted their daily budget limit and mine would get lots of hits then. That's changed though.

It does work for me, but it adds up fast. You've really got to keep a tight grip on it or suddenly you'll be paying $35 a day unexpectedly. When you add new listings sometimes it defaults to some crazy high number like a $1 a click, so keep an eye on that as well.

If you log on from a different machine, you'll see the Etsy pages are stuffed full of these ads, it's become the norm rather than an add-on.

Without it you're crowded out these days, at least in my categories.

This is one of the reasons I am trying to get back on Etsy. They make it really easy to get sales they just have idiots doing customer service that are major a-holes that don't follow their own company guidelines.

It works well for many established shops, even the new ones. Just study around, you'll see. Not for all. For me and others, it's a big waste of money. Whenever, I run EExsy ads, always lost money. Best thing is break even. It's like most of the clicks are from my competitors crewing me up.

i have never used it,when I search using criteria either highest price first,I found it annoying that these items show up frst.
I dont know how Etsy ranks us,but I see a message like this seller respond within one day?
so how fast you respond must make a difference.
you can also look at STAT to see how many views you get .
sales is slow on ETSY,some said it is because our tax refund is not what we expected?
