Default How does Etsy's potential compare with eBay and Amazon?

This question is for those who sell on Etsy + eBay and/or Amazon.

I understand there is no straight answer to my question as it depends on multiple factors, but looking to hear about your experiences.

For example, I sell on both Amazon and eBay and for similar level of efforts, I make about twice more profit on Amazon (70% vs. 30%)

So for similar level of efforts, how does Etsy compare with Amazon and eBay, financially speaking?

Thanks

I sold on Etsy and Ebay, around 95% of my sales were on Etsy, but I guess it all depends on what you are selling.

I sell on both Ebay and Etsy, Etsy by far is so much better as i can charge higher prices on Etsy and sell well. Only downside is the fees on Etsy. With their payment plan ( your fees are auto taken off the sale ) it looks like the overall fee per sale is around 12-14%. Sales are 40% Ebay compared to 60% Etsy.

Well you can definitely charge more on etsy as no where as much competition, but of course it has to be vintage or handmade. My ebay outsells etsy about 5 to 1.

I'm thinking 12-14% isn't bad compared to Amazon (15%) and eBay (15-16%).

Thanks for your input, I might give Etsy a shot and see if it's working for me.

I had only 7 listings with 180 items in sum on ebay vs 210 listings on etsy.
selling price is the same
product is the same
sales on ebay were in 2- 2.5 times more
