Cancel orders
 

Hello! Do anybody have expierence how offen it is normal to cancel the orders not to affect account? The buyers ask to cancel due to corona virus.

No, it won't affect your seller performance if you will do it properly.
Here 2 options:
1. Tell the buyer to open a cancel request - then you cancel the order.
2. There are 2 options when you cancel an order - choose the 'buyer wanted to cancel the order' but NOT the out of stock option.

Ask the buyer to open a cancel request to avoid receiving a negative feedback.

Thanks for reply. When I ask buyers to open cancel request they say that there isn't such option. I don't know if they are saying truth or just can't find it.

Just do the 2nd option i suggested.

If the buyer opens a cancel request then eb doesn't allow them to leave a negative or neutral FB but if the seller chooses the 'buyer wanted to cancel the order' , he/she can still leave a negative FB , it happened once to me and I was on the line with customer service for 30 minutes trying to get the whole mess erased !

Etsy does not penalise the seller if he cancels an order,NOT YET !!!!
Just to be sure,ask at Etsy seller forum

Yes my misunderstanding , so this thread has now both answers for ebay and etsy !
