Sign! You can't get some details doesn't mean others can't.
About the ID theft, you can have a try to see how hard it is. And talking about selling the IDs on social media, everyone can buy it and do you think it is safe to create Etsy accounts?
Stop bull**** and think deeper | thoughts on using sites like verif.tools for document verification? |

| tedsmith1990 | 07-15-2024 11:15 PM | Re: Etsy new account creation story Recently I was busy to create new accounts. Here are some notes:
PS: All the person details are real and first-handed.
1. after you enter the person details, some will go directly to open the shop and Etsy won't ask you to upload the ID. Some Etsy will ask. So I guess Etsy has kind of database. If Etsy collect that person, then you are quicker to go.
2. After you opened the shop, best wait 3-5 days. Mostly Etsy will suspend your account within 3 days without any reasons and small percentage to get back your account. The products are surely good for Etsy policy , I guess Etsy just controls the shops quantities.
3. If you account is still alive 5 days later, mostly your account is good to go. I heard someone said the account then will go suspened again after the 1st order. But from my recent experience, very rare. There are some percentages died within 5 days, but aftere that, almost 100% alive with successful first order as well as the first transfer amount from ETSY ( I mean not the small deposit). Please be note that I didn't add any Virtual credit cards to link Etsy, and I linked the real high-street banks to receive the money.
4. The Big Note: I have the some Dutch bank accounts. During registeration, for example, I linked ABN bank, and when the first order was sold, I changed to bank account to Rabo bank, ETSY will 100% suspended your account. I have tested 3 accounts, 100% dead. So AVOID changing to your differnt bank. It is safe to change your IBANs from the same bank.
6. I moved back to China, so all my accounts created from China. So if you created accounts from aboard, first you have to figure out hot to set up the safe network environment. A lot of details you have to care.
My next plan: I am going to create UK accounts. I am currently have Halifax, Lloydts. But it takes time.
Cheers |
| tedsmith1990 | 07-15-2024 11:26 PM | Re: Etsy new account creation story oh, another note I recall:
When you opened the shop, and Etsy suspended your account, you are going to appeal. Etsy may ask you to upload files. The file can be ID or the bank statement, 2 options. Not just ID |

what has been your appeal success rate/ |
| tedsmith1990 | 07-20-2024 03:34 AM | Re: Etsy new account creation story Well, hard to say.
I created my account using a shared residential IP because buying a solid, reliable IP is really expensive.
Initially, I sent several appeals, but the success rate was low—kind like only 1 out of 7 appeals succeeded. I wrote very short reasons, just a few words, and didn't take it seriously. Writing appeals is really difficult for me, so I eventually gave up and left those inactive accounts alone. Quote:

| tedsmith1990 | 07-28-2024 01:34 PM | Re: Etsy new account creation story Detailed:
1.The rate at which Etsy requests ID during setup is hard to determine. First, you need to understand how Etsy collects personal data. Do they get it from the government, third parties, or social networks?
2.After opening a shop, about 30% of them fail within 5 days. The success rate for appeals is low(read above). If a shop survives 3-5 max.8 days later, 100% positive chance of receiving the first order without issues. Receiving the first transfer (always full amount) randomly tkes 3-15 days.
3. I have been running one of my accounts, which is over a year old, using a shared residential IP. So IP might not be as critical as you might think. However, if you create popular US Uk accounts, better NOT shared IP, as many people are trying to create US accounts. |

There are no sales on Etsy,do not waste your money | Then why their earnings and stock price is increasing? |
| agent006140 | 09-16-2024 07:51 AM | Re: Etsy new account creation story stock price can go up and down,it was once a $300 stock, its earnings would not be pretty in the third qtr.
It is dropped from S & P 500.
Go to Etsy seller forum, sellers are asking each other why no sales? |

| shrek | 11-24-2025 08:29 AM | Re: Etsy new account creation story Hi,
I saw via a post from you that you've been able to create multiple Etsy accounts without getting banned. I was wondering how you did that with just 1 ID, or did you use an ID from friends/family to create the accounts?
Unfortunately my Etsy account has been blocked and I'd like to create a new one. I could use my brother's/parents' ID to make a new account, but I was wondering how it works with taxes - is the tax levied on the person of the ID, or on the VAT number that you enter? Or do you know an easier way to create an Etsy account?
im from the netherlands btw
Thanks in advance!! |

Of course. And the accounts are solid. | How have you bypassed 3rd party Persona verification ?
From what I have discovered this company verifys the ID on behalf of Etsy but also retains a lot of PII from the ID creating and storing an identity profile of that person and giving it to Etsy to store.
I submitted a data deletion request to persona and they told me it's Etsy that holds this data and can legally hold it for up to 6 years meaning once you get banned with an ID on etsy its now virtually impossible for that same person / ID to verify another account.
so to me unless you are able to have access to people opening Etsy accounts for you and then somehow managing to change the bank account to your own its impossible
ETSY is changing CEO's at the end of the year we can only hope the new one takes a less extreme approach to verifying sellers on the platform. Ultimately if they want to keep growing they will need to ease the verification at some stage |
