Default VAT for EU accounts?

Has anyone met the VAT matters that ETSY asked you to provide while your selling reaches certain amounts??

During setup process, adding VAT is an option.
Thanks

Did they send you a reminder or did the countdown start immediately? (probably 10 days), what exact threshold have you reached so far on one account?

Not yet.
I guess maybe it is not necessary to add your tax number on.

Because you still have to explain where is the money in your bank from and report to the tax department, isn't it? So this can explain why adding VAT is an option.

Correct me if I am wrong?

You can avoid to insert VAT number, you will receive ebay bill taxed of local VAT %, if you insert the VAT number ebay bills will be without VAT

Just set your account as business and you are good to go

don't listen to people telling you that you can avoid adding VAT number on file

the EU law is clear , on 10K annual turnover with intra-EU sales you will have to add the number , marketplaces would ask earlier than 10K

the only way to avoid is having low sales or only sales to customers in your country of registration up to the local VAT threshold

In any case, it is better not to sell more than that amount and avoid having to send VAT... or have several eBay accounts and sell little in each one.

10K or 100K?

EU law is 100K, isnt it?
