Etsy feedback rules?
 

Anyone familiar with etsy's rules? My disable sister do handmade veil for a living and she just got a buyer blackmail her with feedback. Her only reason is it was delivery one week late (total BS because the etsy fking ESTIMATE SHIP DATE is still a week away). My sister didn't want to get negative so she gave her a free veil.

Anyone knows if etsy will contact paypal to verify payment/refund? Also what's the rule on feedback extortion?

Email them. They protect good sellers. You have proof of the incident.

Hiya.
I guess you can report it to etsy as it is frowned upon, I'm not sure what exactly they'll do if anything (They aren't reliable when it comes to protecting sellers)

However do not worry yourself over negative feedback in this instance, Etsy allow follow-up feedback to be left by the seller in the event they receive negative feedback. In which case you should use that opportunity to state that the buyer is attempting to blackmail you.
Anyone who checks the feedback will see your comment under the buyers feedback which will answer any questions potential customers have as to why you have negative feedback.

Avoid anything nasty, but state the facts that has lead to the negative feedback and you should be safe.
Whatever you do though don't refund the item unless the buyer has returned it and you have it.

Etsy is great to work with if you did nothing wrong.

I think it's really easy for competitors to buy something relatively cheap to slam someone who is cutting into "their" game aka profits. Been there, done that on the receiving end. You have to respond intelligently and move on, the trick is to have many positives to outweigh the (sometimes unwarranted) negative.

Maybe we can all leave each other 5-star reviews to combat the idiots who are trying to sabotage our sales.
