I think it is a very good idea to form a Etsy discussion forum just like we have for ebay/amazon/PayPal. It will help us all members various way to learn more about Etay..Good job, Aspkin..

PP, Direct Checkout via CC Payments from the Buyer, Money Orders and Personal Checks. Not sure of other options that are viable.

I'm wanting to open a stealth Etsy store but I was wondering about when they try to verify identity? Obviously the information given would be stealth and therefore wouldn't pass verification? Or am I missing something...

Hello I was shut down by E**y about 1 month that was the second time but all my fault they shut me down because i used my pp account to pay for something i purchased without thinking . this will be my last try to get back on.

If anyone can let me know if I going about it the right way...

I got a new bank account
new cell number
new IP address
made a new user account to my computer
got a new camera

but my name stays the same or do u think i should just change it a bit.

And having a new id with a different address now my concern is my bank has my correct address do they confirm with my bank?

E**y want your bank information and address and shipping address do I give them a stealth address ?

That is where I get confused.

Never dealt with Etsy, is it as big a market as ebay or amazon?

It can be a great marking depending on what you are selling. There's a reason I wanted to get back on so badly. The market seems to be completely different, so if you are hand making things, something that doesn't sell well on eb.ay might do great on Et.sy, and vice versa

Plus the customers are a million times nicer to deal with.

Please note I'm not 100% on this as I'm UK and it may be different for you in Canada.

You need a new name for yourself, it does not matter that it does not match the bank account you give. They will not confirm you with your bank details.

They will ask you for personal information which needs to be the new name, and a new address. They will ask you for ID, which needs to have these details.

Once they confirm who you are with your ID, they will ask you for a credit card to add to your account to pay your Et.sy bill, this will need to be a VCC in your new name and address.

Hope this helps but again different country might mean different process, I know its different for our friends in the US as they need an SSN
