12.31, At this time, all new United States based shops will need to register for Direct Checkout when signing up.

First I would say, "hail to the greatness", then I would ask the below because I'm new and very stuck, even after reading the book...which is most about e.bay, which I do not sell on because my traffic was on et.sy....
1. I'm assuming the EIN can get tracked back to you. I used an EIN on my closed shop and received a message that the EIN "name" did not match the IRS database. So what info is the IRS sending back, just the name or all the info for EIN? BTW.....it was an old EIN from my business 10 years ago, which was NOT on ETSY...that is why the name did not match.
2. Can you still pay fees with Van CC and use their mailing labels and DC?
3. For DC don't you need to have a bank account that matches name and EIN, or can I get a VBA in the stealth name without linking?
4. I am at this point willing to pay for info. Just let me know if your interested!

I can't PM, I'm new. Can you please share? I was on et.sy and got the boot with real name, real bank actt and ein. Now what because new requirements say US can only do DC.

I'd be really really grateful for some information on this, seems to be some people here with great knowledge on making etsy accounts that work.

Please can someone show me the light, i can imagine PM's keep secrets alive.

I can bet too - even with my all my existence here on the forum, I am not privy to secrets so what makes you think you will get the rights?

Yeah, I've been a member over six years and some people won't even discuss certain stealth techniques with me either despite helping people in PM's.

I imagine the main reasons for people not sharing info and asking for PM's instead are

1. Best not to make our techniques too public, we wouldn't want the selling sites to see how we slip past them. They'd just tighten their security and reduce the loop holes we can take advantage of.

2. I know one of the main things needed to get approved is something that a few people on this forum actually make a profit on, so they might not be so willing to throw money away ;)

I set up a new E--y with this DC thing, and so far looks like I've been approved. Might be nice to not have to bother with stealth PP and VCC's now :)

Haha, well thats good as long as people are still able to setup etsy with DC then i'll keep my eyes peeled, i can totally understand this information is sensitive, just like me. :)

I've been doing ecommerce for a good few years now, and over time i've been banned on nearly all the main platforms, normally for not doing much wrong myself.. but more about knowledge of how to keep them active and prosperous, all of them have their different techniques and knowing how far you can push each account. I think now i'm past the reckless age, :) Stealth is the way forward, no one want to rely on one account putting all their eggs in one basket, i myself have learnt the hardship of this.

Their are a few people i'd love to speak with in regards to ETSY, i'll just have to wait until i'm able to speak with them directly. Still i'm really excited about having a Etsy account again...

Zenohki, you've made a couple of interesting points, especially in 2. v. intriguing. Hope i hope you success with your new account.
