Thanks. exchange4free wants some ID documentation but fees seem light. I did not cross-reference exchange rate though

AK - how do you use transferwise? Do you use a card or bank account? I didn't think it was even available to us in US but I can see I was wrong about that. I generally pay transfer companies with cash though since my cards can't handle larger amounts. Not getting my hopes up but I'm interested to hear about your interaction with TW.

Their fee structure is a turn-off but it's cool I can add this service to the list for when I'm blocked by WU and MG. TW says $47 fee to transfer $3000 to China where it would be $25 with MG or $27 with WU.

I checked out exchange4free but they don't appear to operate within the US... :(
