Re: Do you guys access the forum primarily with mobile or desktop?
Desktop only. Please do not change the forums format to a goofy "modern" blocky design to cater to mobile/tablets. It makes things more tedious and difficult when trying to accomplish real tasks on a desktop.
A lot of sites with good practical designs that should not be changed do to adopt to "mobile" which makes their site functionality retarded for real tasks. I wish all sites still looked had the early 2000's design. So much more neat, practical and to the point.

Lol, the thing is most people use mobile these days. And more and more don't even have desktop anymore. So it's either cater to them or lose them all together. It's best to bring them onboard, no?

I agree with you.
I'm on my iPad Pro or Phone for almost all leisure/reading/research. I only use my iMac and Mac Pro for work, so that's the only time I visit while on my desktop.
Mobile markets/app/etc have taken over, so it'd be silly not to make the website more accessible to those clients.

The best "worst" implementation to make a site "mobile friendly" is the Tangerine bank website. It feels like a yuppie CTO trying to make a name for himself hired a fresh college grad to rebrand the Tangerine site so its modern and "cutting edge" for mobile. Any Canadians here who uses it will know what I am talking about.
They turned a very logical site to a disaster zone. Windows and popup notifications taking up half the screen, giant buttons and silly slidey tabs and a bunch of random garbage and useless pie charts blended in to fill empty space. What a mess. If it aint broken dont fix it.

^^Exactly the same thing happened to Wells Fargo's website last year. It used to be the most productive and easiest to navigate online banking interface out of all the banks I work with. After their "mobile friendly" update the website feels like some kind of app I would install for my daughter on her tablet.
I guess WF and Tangerine hired the same developer. I miss the old internet too. :(

On my iphone 7, I do not like the mobile site. I struggle with some aspects so I rarely use it. Maybe I need to play with a setting after reading many people like the mobile site.
