Rich is minimum 10 mil in the bank or 100k/mo passive cash flow. Wealthy is above 100m or 1m/month passive cash flow. Keep growing!

I wouldn't consider 1mil in the bank rich considering the tax burden on those folks. I have to agree with donuts. Being rich is being able to enjoy all the finer things in life without having to worry about it hurting your bank account.

Some people who earn $250,000 a year after tax would think of themselves as 'rich' whereas others in the same position would think of that as destitute.

Is someone who can fly first class everywhere rich? Or do they have to go by private plane in order to be rich?

Its so subjective that everyone will have their own definition of what they need themselves in order to feel 'rich'

Over $20k a month after tax is fairly rich imo, could easily afford a mortgage on a $1 mil house, nice car and do pretty much whatever you want.

Everyone will have their own opinion on how much you need to be considered rich, to some having 1 million is being rich, and to others having 1 billion is being rich, honestly for me...I´d say if you have at least $20 million dollars then you´re rich, because 1 million dollars can be spent real quick, you buy a house for lets say $500,000, then cars, and other toys, and that 1 million is gone.

Good thing San Francisco, CA isn't on there lol. Can't imagine what it is. If you make $400,000 / year you're considered middle class because that isn't even enough to buy a house there.

if you have a billion dollars, all you do is give 5% to merrill lynch to think for you to get those returns....never have to work another day in your life....let alone think about making money since you have a dedicated wealth management team to do it for you.

can live off the interest and returns from wealth management team.
