| | | TMiles | 07-19-2009 04:54 PM | I sent a message to my pastor about the project wrapping so that he could include it in our church bulletin.
"Well, the week is over. The Marshalls' home has been built and turned over to them. For those not familiar with the story, Lt. Marshall is a Dallas SWAT officer who was shot during a raid. This lead to a stroke which has left him paralyzed. The volunteers who built this home are trying to raise enough money to pay off there old mortgage. For those so moved, please go to Cheldan Homes - Extreme Makeover Home Edition to make a donation."
Late yesterday, I forwarded a couple of emails with some pictures for my pastor to enjoy. After services today, all the pictures were turned into a slide show. They thanked all the volunteers and asked for donations.
What a nice way to start my week. This was a lot of effort at the last minute. It goes to show that helping others in need is contagious. |

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Season 7 Premier
GreenWatt Energy Systems donates Energy Ball v200 Turbines
GreenWatt Energy Systems was thrilled to work with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on two episodes in the upcoming Season 7. Deserving families received brand new homes complete with renewable energy products.
The season premier on Sunday, September 27, 7/6c on ABC will feature the Huber family of South Range, Wisconsin. GreenWatt installed a v200 Energy Ball Wind Turbine system to this build which will feature many 'green' components.
On October 18th, the Marshall Family build in Lancaster, Texas will be aired. GreenWatt donated three GW 2500 Solar Powered Attic Fans, a solar a/c for the barn and a v200 Energy Ball Wind Turbine. Great worthwhile project and GreenWatt was thrilled to be able to help out! |

| TMiles | 09-27-2009 04:55 PM | 3 Attachment(s) Good morning one and all,
It has been an exciting two months since GreenWatt first donated several renewable energy products to help Extreme Makeover Home Edition provide a new home to Carlton Marshall and his family in Lancaster, TX. Since then, we have had many great opportunities, including installing a "v200 energy ball" urban wind turbine on another Extreme Makeover home in Superior, Wisconsin.
Tonight, ABC will air the season opener of Extreme Makeover. This episode will be a 2-hour special, featuring the home built for the Huber family, for which we participated. Please be sure and tune in at 6:00 PM, Central Standard Time.
ABC, in part, selected this home for the season 7 premiere due to the many "green elements" incorporated in the build job. More than likely, our team will have actual airtime.
I have attached some pictures of this wonderful wind turbine. Do not forget to check us out on ABC.com, as well as our newly refreshed website - www.GreenWattEnergy.com.
Have a great and relaxing weekend my friends…. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - Extreme Makeover Home Edition - As Featured On - ABC.com |

I watched part of the show! Was doing some work while it was on so I was kinda half-*** watching it.
Just a quick question, are the houses really built within 7 days? I have heard rumors that they aren't. And I figured you would be the one to know :) |
Thanks for advice guys.. I'll try ABC.com or Youtube. |
| TMiles | 09-29-2009 08:59 AM | Good morning,
Yes, the houses are really built in 7 days. This includes the tear-down of the old house. The crew actually does not count in days, but hours. They literally have hundreds of volunteer tradesman working 24/7. It is quite amazing to see all the planning and coordination.
The turbine was actually shown at the very end of the 2 hour episode. It was the last surprise the Huber family received from Ty. Ford Motor company paid for this turbine, while we installed it.
On October 18, the episode in Lancaster, TX will be aired. We donated the turbine for the Marshall family. Mr. Marshall was a SWAT officer, injured in the line of duty. He suffered a stroke as a result of the bullet wound, and is now in a wheel chair. This episode will be quite the tear jerker... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:04 AM. | |
