Seems like he ⊗⊗⊗⊗d his death. Was reported dead after bank saw irregularities and froze his bank account.

This is probably an exit scam.

I feel sorry for those invested, I guess.

I think one of these two things will happen:

a) the guy is dead and his cold wallet will be compromised by the NSA and the BTC will slowly be put back into circulation over the next year or two (without returning anything to "investors")

b) the guys isn't dead and he'll attempt to access the cold wallet and transfer BTC out after a year or so, when the media coverage has died down. I don't know if that will work since I assume any wallet's he's associated with will be monitored forever.

It's just a risk you take if you have any dealings at all with BTC.

Even if you're buying your BTC through Coinbase or one of the other "big exchanges" this could happen. Some of these companies have good intentions in the beginning then get blinded by greed once there's a few hundred million worth of BTC under management. BTC is so easy to steal, they can't help themselves. Some other companies (like this one, apparently) are setup by conmen from the beginning with the sole intention of stealing a lot of BTC some day in the future, lol.

This is why HODL'ing is dangerous.

Anyway, after reading some of the things their victims are saying on Reddit, I don't have any doubt this is just some exit scamming fag.

Good for buying stuff int'l you dont want tracked cuz cant use prepaid CC afaik. Why I dont think crypto will make a comeback as a mainstream currency anymore.

BTC is great for buying stuff.

In fact, it's too good for buying stuff which will probably lead to it being banned.

Until then though I'm loving it. Just don't sit on the stuff lol. :thumb:

Venture Capital sinks money all the time into dead projects. They are hoping for the one that goes 100x and dont care about other 9 that fail. This is typical in that space.

He probably got a nice initial investment from VC

I wish the same fate for all cryptos in the future. Cryptos are the bullet that will kill the freedom that comes with cash.
