Makes more sense. The hummingbirds we have don't make any noise, haha.

UPDATE: I was wrong about the bird in my yard abandoning her nest.

She did exactly what somebody in this thread said. She laid eggs in there and then left for a few weeks. We started hearing baby bird chirps in the house about a week ago.. so they've been born now. Now the momma bird brings food to the nest 10x a day. Really cool to watch.

Have you checked to see if there's any eggs in there?

Or maybe they're just adding onto the nest.

Re: Live Frog in my backyard

GOOD question, they are not visiting the nest to drop more eggs, they dont stay or sit in the nest.they just glide over it.
I cant see what is in the nest unless I attach a mirror on a long pole.
I hope they are not the same parents like 2 years ago,a pair of barn swallows/sparrows built the same kind of nest and there were 2 chicks inside the nest.
One day I saw many swallows flying around,I thought the chicks have left the nest so I start hosing down the nest, then I heard the parents crying really loud , 2 chicks fell on the ground, one hid in the bush ,the other just hide by a large plant, later it must be the parents calling,it came and sat on the lawn with its parents circling it.
It cant fly ,the next morning I saw it was still there and then the lawn man came to mown lawn and I cant find it anymore,I hope both chicks survive.
I understand birds have memory,if this is the same pair, they must remember the last episode?
Now I know better,I will just leave them alone ,if there are eggs, one of them will be sitting on them soon.

It has been raining lately but I have not heard from my frog,it may have left for the receiving pond behind me or ?? greener pasture.
