friends dell pc monitor is behaving badly, just over a year old, suddenly the picture has turned 90 degrees anti clockwise, the setting on the buttons you press on monitor bring up a menu that has a positioning icon but when pressed it does nothing

any ideas?

Hahaha yeah friend did the same thing...

It would appear that you managed to press CTRL + ALT + Left Arrow.

To correct this problem simply click CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow.

What??? That should have worked...

Push the CTRL and ALT keys and hold them down. Push the up arrow and release all keys. This should fix it.

told them to push all of them at same time? you want cntl and alt together then the up arrow?

Yea, you should do what philly said. I made the same mistake and I had to call dell. I waited for more than a hour and I felt like an idiot.

Haha Yoz...that sucks...

It was actually my best friend that called me (hes not very computer literate). All I did was Google it and found an answer, fixed in a heartbeat! I don't even know why the heck there would be a command that would turn a screen sideways in the first place...kind of stupid.
