I realize it's a very remote possibility that I contract covid from inventory, but my understanding is that Covid-19 can live on certain surfaces for up to 9 days. I can't let my inventory shipments sit around in the office for a week before opening them.. so I may not be fine after all. | Spray the packages down. Wear gloves when handing individual units that you might not wanna spray down.

I'm saying there always that one asshole(at least) who doesn't wanna do his part, and wants to reap the benefits of everyone's work.
No data needed.
Human nature, so it will never work.

Human nature, so it will never work. | Exactly why Marxism will never work
Great idea in theory but simply never works in reality.
As for every man wanting to live off his own little plot of land without any outside interference. It would be great to see how well that works when something broke or when replacement parts were needed. The idea is very romanticised but in this day and age of interconnectivity it simply doesn't work. Im sure there are some really rural communities in the US and maybe Aus that have it to a degree but I bet they still have things from outside the community delivered. People may not life governments / the establishment but they serve a purpose. Its only isolated tribes that live like that these days and honestly thanks but no thanks to that way of living.

I bet he still has electricity and running water and that is the point really - these days everyone is reliant on big companies and the government is there to an extent to help regulate them.

The rumor mill is now saying that our local government intends to announce in the next 48 hours that everything will be closed. Hopefully that isn't the case.. but my wife heard from somebody that works in local gov't.
Thankfully I was able to wire a payment this morning but I'll be in a world of sh!t if everything really closes. No mail, no inventory, no banks, nothing. :(

But shutdowns ARE increasing, little by little.
Things have to change, though, else we will be at 1,000,000 cases in about 3 weeks.
Total lockdown would happen before they allowed that.

If its just limited to 1,000,000 in the US that would be a job well done
Chances are looking like the infection rate is going to be in the 50/60% mark in the UK and the rest of Europe even with a lot of countries in lock down.

This is how I know China's numbers are totally fictional:
China - 81032 cases, 3217 deaths, 67910 recovered = 4.5% case fatality rate
Italy - 24747 cases, 1809 deaths, 2335 recovered = 43.6% case fatality rate
Iran - 14991 cases, 853 deaths, 4590 recovered = 15.6% case fatality rate
USA - 4093 cases, 69 deaths, 12 recovered = 85% case fatality rate
France - 5397 cases, 127 deaths, 12 recovered = 91.3% case fatality rate
UK - 1551 cases, 37 deaths, 21 recovered = 63.7% case fatality rate
Switzerland - 2200 cases, 14 deaths, 4 recovered = 77.7% case fatality rate
Netherlands - 1414 cases, 24 deaths, 2 recovered = 92.3% case fatality rate
It doesn't add up. Even if you factor in the fact that it started taking off in China a month before anywhere else, there still shouldn't be such a huge discrepancy in CFR's. With as quickly as fatalities are racking up in the rest of the world, coupled with the fact that no other country is reporting "recoveries" at the rate China did, it would seem that China's true CFR would have to at least be in the low double digits.
Pointless post, but it's an interesting comparison regardless.

Certainly terrifying numbers - I think a week, maybe 2, from now when Europe is deeper into it we will start to see the real morality rate.

Yup. A lot of factors aren't showing up in our number.
Not every person is/has been/can get tested. Also, a ton of people walking around with it only experiencing sniffles, so no testing.

She has a huge nest egg too, I told her she has to leave if she doesnt at least scale back her work hours. Im sure im not the only one in this kind of situation

Why don't you post up south korean and Japanese numbers?they are even lower.korea with only 1% and japan is 2%.
iran was followed all chinese plan and it much lower then western
I told you: you don't know chinese convention at all,we fear the death very much.
when GOV tell you wear mask,99% people wear next day,GOV tell you to stay at home,98% people stay at home, thats it ,no army force no police shooting,we just stop moving.
while obviously in western ,people don't care about that,my step father-in-law is a british living with my mother-in-law rural london,I warned him million times to pay attention on this thing do not go into town do not go to bar wear mask blabla he just laughing at me said I was way too nervous on that.
he still going out everyday til today's conversaiton with him.I am worried about him a lot and I told them to book a test to make sure they not get the infection.
CHINESE DEFENSE OF COV vs WORLD is a totally different story man, stop doubting that, any such virus won't kill as lot as western in here because yes the people here are way too nervous on that and will act crazy on that.believe it or not I told you that,100% personally.

That is a very good point Turbo
China is a lot better when it comes to compliance with government policies than we are in the West. Having said that I do expect that the numbers in China are higher than reported.
It certainly would be interesting to see the Japaneses and Korean mortality rate.
