each country has many different factors about how this virus treated(people age structure,testing logic).result vary death rate/recover rate etc.its normal and not direct comprable to say whos good/bad/lying/Honest.

Wearing a mask is only really beneficial if you already have the virus as it helps to prevent you coughing up a lung on healthy folk.

It's about as useful as stockpiling guns and toilet roll.

You do know, that viruses are very light, and can float in the air? With less humidity, it's even worse. If someone sneezes in a room, it can circulate into everyone's eye. Theoretically.

LOL, they're pushing this so there isn't a shortage of masks. It doesn't make any sense at all. How does it make sense that masks will stop the virus from exiting people who are already sick, but they won't stop the virus from entering people who aren't already sick?

Masks protect people who aren't already sick by preventing the virus from entering their lungs when they breath. Just like it traps the viral cells from exiting the mask of somebody who is sick.



Stockpiling guns and ammo isn't useless either as they'd go a long way in a mob/looting situation. You just aren't allowed to do it. :P

Because it will prevent the people from exhaling all the pathogens into the air and all over objects. This isn't an airborne virus. It might last in the air to some extent, but it's not airborne. So I can understand the idea behind it stopping sick people from contaminating everything. And, as mentioned, you CAN get it in your eyes. So as long as the sick people aren't sneezing everywhere or having it on their hands, you shouldn't be able to contract it from them. But you wearing a mask, doesn't mean you won't contract it from someone. Sure it's an ADDED level of safety. But it's not safety in itself.

Those silly colonists. What do they think it's going to help, for them to stock pile all those guns? It's not like they have anything to worry about, and even if they did, it's not like they could stand up to our army anyways.

LOL but Chinese people were wearing masks even before this virus. And I HIGHLY doubt they have it under control. I don't believe a single damn word that comes from that corrupt governments mouth, and I sure as hell don't believe a word that comes out of it's peoples mouths either. Being honest there has a tendency to get you arrested and or tragically die.

And I never said it has no benefit. But if there is a limited supply, I'd MUCH rather it go to the people that are sick, or might be sick, more likely to get sick, or even more likely to die from it. If there was enough to go around? Sure, masks for all!

My supplier has been sending me packs of masks with every shipment but I'm kind of afraid to open them and wear them. :/

I've been figuring it's more of a psychological thing, honestly. China is pumping out hundreds of thousands of masks per day now. There probably is enough to go around. But government officials would like to limit how many people are walking around in public with masks on, so they can continue acting like it's no big deal and everything is under control.

EDIT: Also, China claims that covid is in fact capable of aerosol transmission, which would mean it is airborne. https://archive.is/AOka6

hundreds of thousands a day isn't exactly all that much. Even if they pumped out millions per day, it would take months just to mask all of China.

And that last part is a bit conspiratorial. I'm not saying it's out of question... But, I dunno....

Some people are also saying, we don't want to test people, because there will be so many people testing positive without any issues, that social media will be flooded with people saying " hey! It's not so bad!".

And as for guns I've got a cabinet full of them. I just don't feel the inclination to go out and buy more.
