You still using worldometer for those numbers? It's showing 12,876 for me, which is a little less than the day before.

Good! I find them very pessimistic... doom and gloom ish.

I like this type of graph, that shows we are nowhere near any sort of exponential growth. In fact, the expansion rate appears to be slowing. (for now, but I bet all the new testing capabilities for us will increase it some)

The red line is 1, which represents consistent/same growth
Between 0 and 1 is a decline
Above 1 is an increase(2 would be double, for instance)

3/17/20 UPDATE

15600 new cases on the 17th.
New case/recovery graph:

It's pretty damn close to exponential, ebs.

EDIT: Also wtf is your chart trying to show? Seems to implicate the opposite of what the reported date is showing.

Same thing now in the UK. Rationing On *many* products. From what I have read on some news sites.

anyone elses sales grinding to a halt? I had thought my market would pass through it, as it's typically catering to the higher end of the income bracket... Guess not

I'm actually thriving right now. The one bottleneck is slow China shipping speeds.

Probably because I sell things for the one item everybody is glued to as they're stuck at home.

Also h4ck is in Cali, lol. The Italian flag is to show his appreciation for Mussolini. IDK why he didn't just go flagless.

A microbiologist from the University of Hong Kong is calling for people who don't wear face masks to be banned from using public transport.

Quote:
A microbiologist from the University of Hong Kong on Wednesday called for people who don't wear face masks to be banned from using public transport, in light of a surge in the number of imported cases of Covid-19.

The head of the university’s Centre for Infection, Dr Ho Pak-leung, described the coming two weeks as a “critical period” in the city’s fight against the new coronavirus and said aggressive measures must be taken to contain its spread.

He said Hong Kong people must be united to break the chain of infections in the community, and have to wear faces masks when they go to work, as well as having their temperatures checked.

Ho said that on top of banning people who refuse to wear masks from public transport, they should also be stopped from getting into lifts.
https://news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/compone...9-20200318.htm

Meanwhile on the other side of the world the government is trying to tell us there's no need for people who aren't sick to wear masks. So who's right? Maybe this guy is just highly invested in the face mask business?

I think it’s very much a cultural thing in that a lot of Asian cultures do believe that the masks work whereas here in the west we don’t believe it as much. The scientific evidence can be interpreted to support either argument depending on what it is they’re trying to prove

Being that it’s not an airborne virus you’re much more likely to contract the virus through touching something and then touching your face so the masks will be somewhat limited as a preventative measure.

For those that have contracted it already however if they are coughing on something the mask will catch those particles and stop the virus spreading. Even better than wearing a mask that would be for those particular people to just not go out the house

I'm amazed at some of this shiit I dream up, sometimes! That explains why, for days now, I've not been able to replicate your graph layout on the site I was using!
