| Sunspot144 | 04-02-2020 12:47 AM | Re: Corona Virus This is saying authorities were manipulating the numbers. They were distributing test kits outside of Wuhan during the peak and gave all the hospitals there 2000 total.
Leaked documents from Mar 14th say there were 91k cases when official number was 4000. IDK if documents are real w/o looking.

You must be using DHL through HK. Really bad business practices will keep them on their knees for weeks or possibly months to come. |
| phaz0rz | 04-02-2020 06:16 AM | Re: Corona Virus What are their bad business practices?
Always been a golden service for me up to this point. |
| james13v | 04-02-2020 07:52 AM | Re: Corona Virus my domestic shipments have been insanely fast. Florida to Cali, first class mail in 2 days. |
| phaz0rz | 04-02-2020 07:56 AM | Re: Corona Virus Mine too. It's strange, really. I guess it might have something to do with domestic air travel being restricted?
Priority and 1st Class shipments are traveling from West to East coast in 2 days consistently for the last 2 weeks, but on the international side, DHL is saying there aren't enough planes to go around.
Could be related to China lying about their statistics. :noidea: |

| phaz0rz | 04-02-2020 09:56 AM | Re: Corona Virus I had one shipment picked up last night.
If you're using DHL out of HK you can expect a 10-12 day wait between the time you're given your tracking number and the time it starts showing updates. |

yes,pent up demand?
But we will all be poorer, loss of income, medical bills, margin calls.
Many are forced to sell their stocks to meet margin calls .
renters cant pay rent, landlord then cant make their mortgage payments and banks lose money.
There will be more crimes, like in 2008. | Except for all the people now getting unemployment, plus an extra $700 a week, PLUS another $1200 a month. People are literally making more money, not working. Banks are pausing mortgage payments for those landlords. Businesses are getting loans, which they don't have to pay back, if it goes towards payroll. People are wasting money on junk anymore. Just about every company is pausing bills. No waste of gas money.
And when this is all over, LESS people are going to die this year, in general, than if this virus never even happened. |

not if you live in CA and renting !
Some business may not come back,so there will be real inflation, due to supply and demand | I mean, living in California wasn't the best decision in the first place lol. Especially if you intend to do any kind of business there.
But again, the amount of "free money" the government is throwing out there... |

I'll report back when I know something. |

I took a class called China 2020 when they were putting a lot of emphasis on this year. My classmates and I got to spend our 2 week spring break writing a 15pg paper because regular class workload was intense  China’s leadership expected that economic growth in 2020 would be a celebratory event, marking a doubling of the economy’s size over the past decade. The new coronavirus, however, has obliterated those forecasts.
Even with a major fiscal stimulus and interest rate cuts, estimates for 2020 growth vary from 1 percent to 4 percent against the original target of 6 percent.
By contrast, the 2002–2003 economic recovery from the SARS virus was V-shaped, as China made up the entirety of its short-term losses by quickly tapping strong consumer demand in the West. China was relatively unaffected by the 2008 financial crisis, when global production and supply networks continued to function, enabling it to maintain rapid growth. http://www.sageworldwide.com/sage_ne...s-on-the-west/ The United States and China worked together to combat the SARS and H5N1 outbreaks, but the new coronavirus has been met with finger-pointing and recrimination. (trade war currently)
Following the outbreaks of SARS and the H5N1 flu, the United States and China launched initiatives such as the Collaborative Program on Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases and a U.S.-China Health Care Forum to establish best practices and dialogue on economic and policy issues impacting global health. Then, as should be the case now, both countries recognized that there are significant opportunities to learn from each other despite their different political and economic systems. https://carnegieendowment.org/2020/0...-war-pub-81347 World Bank warns China's growth could screech to a halt
The coronavirus pandemic's economic fallout could cause China's growth to come to a virtual standstill the World Bank warned Monday. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com...w/74905037.cms China Purchasing Indexes Drop to Record Lows as Epidemic Stalls Output
The official manufacturing purchasing managers index tumbled to 35.7 in February from 50 in January, indicating a deep contraction. February’s reading from the National Bureau of Statistics on Saturday was the first official data for a full month of economic activity in China since the coronavirus began affecting the economy in late January.
The index dropped to 38.8 in November 2008, when the financial crisis prompted steep losses on Wall Street and sent shockwaves through the global economy. The 50 mark separates expansion from contraction. https://www.wsj.com/articles/china-p...article_inline
Covid19 is as contagious as SARS, but SARS only had 8000 cases. Current world politics and globalization has caused covid19 to explode more than it should have been able to. If this is nature it was terrible timing politically. Family friend who is a nurse of 35yrs is saying this will be around this Fall, and it's possible it can continue to reoccur like MERS until a vaccine is both developed and distributed.
walking, didn't you also say this? I recently learned that Germany was the first to alert the EU about recent alarming business deals with China.
Check out China GDP with Trump in office.
A virus released by the underground almost makes sense  https://i.imgur.com/Gbndpp4.jpg |

| Maybe if China hadn't secretly been buying up medical equipment needed to fight the virus from every country for months, while actively lying to everyone about how bad it was, there would probably be less finger pointing at China.. Eh? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:26 AM. | |
