A prayer for me
 

I'm going to see my medical doctor next week and have to take my blood test and sti/std test. I haven't made love since early May when I went on a date with my friend (she is a female friend who I used to help her out with groceries, cell phone bill and giving her rides to her probation officer and trips to the supermarket). She won't return my calls because I admitted to my mom that she was having sex with other men.

Long story short my mom slapped me and is upset that I can't be with a nice Christian girl and my grandma seems to think that any woman I date is a "tram p"

My new doctor is a nice woman but she able to share my test results with my mom (hopefully she won't)

At the end of the day I'm a grown man and not a child.

Also my therapist wants the medical doctor to fax over my lab results to his office.

I'm trying to figure out why he wants it and If he is trying to see if I'm taking my medication or just wants to see my results.

Whether you're religious or not say a quick prayer for me. Specifically prayer that I don't have any incurable stds now known as sti's. (I haven't had a UTI (burns when I pee) in months. Anyways God bless you all.

I hope I have the courage to tell my new doctor the truth since my last one (retired from practice) was easy to talk with even though she scolded me about having unprotected intercourse. before marriage (former doctor, my mom and my grandma are all Christian ladies.) anyways sorry to share so much. this is a follow up to a previous thread I made.

Your doctor will lose her license if she shares any medical information with anyone - including your mother and therapist. Youll need to give her formal written permission to do so. Perhaps you should remind her of that.
One less thing to worry about...

thank you slokor. the therapist actually gave me the fax number and wants the medical info (blood test results I guess) faxed to his office. (there are multiple psychiatrists and therapist in their association.) they're association has been operating for at least 5 years since that's when I started going to them.

If you have an issue providing your therapist this info then ask him outright WHY he believes he needs this information. The i you have an issue with your therapist having that information just tell him so. He cannot force you to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing. This is about YOUR well being after all.

Hindsight is 20/20, but perhaps you've learned: emotions should never cloud or take precedence over reason.

My guess is Mom hit you because she did not have the emotional strength to reach or be with you empathetically at the time.

Why limit your chances to Christians alone? What's wrong with Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Babylonian, Pagan or Humanist girls? Aren't there morally sound girls elsewhere?
Morality and Goodness weren't thought up by religion or Christians for that matter.

I consider it a stretch for anyone to tell you who you can or cannot see romantically.

Irrespective of how parents may beseech god, a child dies of starvation every 10 seconds.

I can say a prayer for you, but if god should take time out his busy, do-nothing schedule at my behest to change your medical test result for good, then he is an absolute joker and is neither worthy of your worship nor my prayer.

The outcome of the test was set when you had sex with her. No amount of prayer or wishing water into wine will change that.

If you feel down and anxious, it could be that you're entertaining adverse conversation of rejection, fear and uncertainty in your head. You can practice short meditations to offset these and harmonise your thoughts to reflect peace and compassion for yourself.

Received call from the doctor's office and got my test/lab results.

In good health and also NO STD/STI's. I'm super happy and just grateful to have that stressful test (annual physical) over with.

The medical assistant (super pretty) also let me know that I can view my results online through a secure login.

God is good :)

Lay off the 'super pretty' assistant there - that's what got you in trouble in the first place!
