rolling black out
anyone having problem with weather?
get up in the morning, try to turn up the heater in the attic, well the control is electric,so no deal, stay at 56 degrees.
Look out the window, and the ground is covered with snow, rare scene down south.
No water, may be a few drip, relieved to see that which says pipes are not frozen.
No TV,no internet ,cant even play a movie with DVD player.
Dug out an old Sony radio, put in a new battery, does not work.
Found a Sony walkman, put in new battery, works ,listen to radio stations, most of the time they are asking for money to keep running the stations.
Found a brand new Lamp which runs on battery ,should last 8 hours, but it must be 10 years old, batteries leaked and the wiring rots.
My cheap flashlight does not work no matter how many times I tried with new battery.
Then it gets dark, found some candles ,they work
I have a gas stove, the gas is there but to turn on the oven, you need to push a few buttons and without electricty,it cant be turned on.
Same goes with humidifier, room size heater, heating fan .
It looks like without electricity, life would be pretty grim, brush my teeth in the dark, glad to have spare water bottles around the house, some for drinking, some for flushing toilet.
I did not go to grocery store, figure all the shelves would be empty by now.
So the question is -
some day when all cars run on battery ,how do you charge your battery at home or go to a charge station when there is no electricty left?
