| | | Freakzilla | 03-02-2021 08:09 AM | Items sent from UK to Europe being returned Hi Guys,
i send a lot of large letters to Europe. Items I sent on Friday have been returned to me today. The CN22 was completed as always. There is no reason stated on the envelope as to why the item was returned. It can't of even left the UK.
Has anyone else had this post Brexit?
Thanks |

I haven't had anything returned but I have a Parcelforce Europriority with a thousand pound phone in it stuck on a container somewhere waiting to be delivered to Poland for over a month. Usually it takes a week or a week and half tops pre-covid. |

Thanks | CN22 are now not to be used, they have been replaced with CN22A or CN23. They must be completely completed, value, weight etc. |

CN23, used for goods over £270 in value, also remains unchanged. |

| Freakzilla | 03-02-2021 08:53 AM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned I've done it exactly as it states mate.
Does anyone know if they check the senders details from the CN22B form? Quote:

They have got very much stricter this year, like put NCV or no value on items is not acceptable anymore. |

Does anyone know if they check the senders details from the CN22B form? | Been using my stealth made up phantom address for over 2 years with no issues unless it's very expensive.
If any items go missing (which they rarely do) I just eat the loss. |

Is it possible there is missing or invalid information on your packets? If this is not the case, then they're most likely illegible. If the data on your form can't be collected and sent (as Electronic Customs Data), to your destination country in advance, your items will be returned to you.
You can evade this little trouble by using the same data from your eBay sales CSV to automatically populate and print out your customs declaration form at the same time you print your labels. You can store your signature in a Jpeg file so all your forms are auto-signed for you.
You can do this using MS Mail merge. If you're like Robin Hood and would like to save your customers some ££, all the fill are editable before you print. ;)
Search YouTube for mail-merge tutorial. It takes minutes to setup. You only need a sample CSV from eBay to pull all the header information and you're set. |

Do you always check for an Eori number? Quote:

| Depressed and Desperate | 06-10-2021 01:08 PM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned I had to pay $35 on an item I ordered from a UK store in fees because the seller sent it on 3rd January instead of December (I paid it in November).
Brexit sucks for everyone. I don't know whose idea was that but they have done a huge disservice to the UK and everyone else. The product I buy can only be found in the UK so basically they ruined my day too...:( |
| Imisspaypal | 06-16-2021 01:44 PM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned The world is turning upside down. Everything it's changing. Ebay rules; VAT rules; sending rules;
I also have the same problem as you but on the other side (sending from EU to the UK).
We have a new kind of CN22 which is much more complex on the information that it contains and also requires much more effort to fill, print and stick to the envelope. |
| Pandoras_box | 06-16-2021 03:14 PM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned Was going to make a purchase from China earlier today using a business account. Bank said new rules: I have to visit a branch to fill out a form to have the recipient added to my list and then another form listing the items I'll be purchasing. I would have to visit the bank and fill in the latter every time I send money to the supplier even if he is already on my payee list.
New money laundering policy. :d
I simply moved the money to a different bank and sent it off without hassle as we've done for ages.
Reminds me of Howard Beale |
| Depressed and Desperate | 06-16-2021 03:26 PM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned I keep the money I use for suppliers in Payeer, Wise and PayPal. I know some will say it's a bad move but so far it worked great for 19 years or so. |

Paypal can't be trusted. I keep reading these "PayPal stole my Money..." threads from folks who trusted PayPal a little too much. |

On my end, MP is new for my accounts and I haven't had any PP issues but I don't deal with risky items or super-high volumes |
| Imisspaypal | 06-18-2021 09:57 AM | Re: Items sent from UK to Europe being returned I don't think people will have any problem with paypal.
It's clearly stated that paypal (obviously) will remain with their activity.
Not 100% of paypal activity it's linked to ebay.
Many vendors/ merchants use paypal to do transactions worldwide and they will continue to do.
About those threads where they say "paypal stole my money" I already did business on ebay using paypal for many many years. I spent/ sent/ received thousands and thousands using it. How many problems I had? Zero. Probably those people just did something wrong/ very risky to have that kind of problems. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:18 PM. | |
