Re: Iphone theft

You would be surprised these PC processors have tons of information like sending your cc to vendor for payments, you may send 2 emails each with half of the cc number, but a scammer can connect the two, plus your security code.
Your address, your SSN,conversations which could help him scam.
How about password?

from my understanding, when you say "PC processor" I am understanding the actual chip like pentium chip or intel i7, etc right? I thought that they didnt store info like that only RAM or Hard drives do...

true,I am referring to information stored on hard disk.
I dont think individuals erase data on these hard drives,or even office PC,when the company went under or dispose their old PCs,the data remains.
I have a few old PCs in my closet,I am not disposing them because they have my personal data ,so I am using them as stands and put flower pots on them

encrypting with veracrypt takes 1-2 hours , once it is done you can format the hard disk , no one will be able to recover the data if proper password was used

in this case there is another high-tech way to make the data unavailable to theft , you take out the hard disk and smash it with a hammer

it is old school but works very well
