I think I might pull an agent and disappear. if not forever then at least for awhile. this forum isn't doing much for me anymore, most have either struck it big like newjerseymax, have a great career like slapped, or are retired and living off the grid somewhere like the founder "Aspkin" all other members that join are fly by night scammers looking for an easy mark, so I think I may have to say goodbye. love you all and have a great life.
I have health issues and also deal with depression, anxiety and, worst of all (envy) seems like everyone else made it and is riding off easy in the sunset and i'm still looking for answers in life. sorry to rant on and on as most don't really care but anyway. it was nice communicating with all of you. thank everyone who has responded, to me, helped me, or at least put up with some of my silly questions/topics.

Depression is not good being left alone.
Just know you have friends here to chat with when you need company.
That's one of the best medicines for depression.

The grass can a lot of the time look greener on the other side. I know its hard butt just focus on small goals at a time and they really can help build something great up.
Just focus on what you can do one day at a time and remember people are always there to talk to if you need them

Come on be nice.
I agree with OP but I would still stick around, because why not ? Always interesting reading and learning even if it's occasionally.

Don't assume too much from the forum, there's plenty of people here that you may assume are doing great in life, but in reality they could be sexually frustrated couch potatoes with a two inch penis. That isn't an admission before you ask, haha

Keep in mind many of us started over a decade ago. I think the ones you're referring too. I remember being around 22 years old when I first joined. I learned a lot from being here, but most of my experience comes from doing it, and learning from mistakes.
Most of things I know from eBay came from hardship, then overcoming it. I don't even know the rankings anymore but I've talked to VP of Trust & Safety and got him to remove a restriction on my account (that's not possible anymore). Within that situation I talked to a back end Trust & Safety who doesn't take phone calls, learned a lot. But it only came from pain, and refusing to give up.
This forum is vastly different than it used to be, and majority of the good members are inactive. I only still post for nostalgic.
I genuinely can say I'd not be where I am without this forum.
(Personally I would guess many of the people who don't post anymore, failed to transition when stealth became harder. Lots of people used to cycle accounts like candy and never intended on building anything long term. I always felt like to win at this you've got to think long term. If you build a foundation on sand, then expect the results of that when waves come.)

Joined around 2018 or 19 I think, but with the intention of creating long term accounts which I still actively use today. I bought a few off here but in the end my own created accs were the ones that stood the test of time for me. I never understood people cycling through dozens of accounts. Whole point of this forum was to get honest sellers back to selling after they were perma banned for whatever reason.

Whole point of this forum was to get honest sellers back to selling after they were perma banned for whatever reason. | The peak for this forum was around 2016-2017, at least from what I saw. After eBay and Paypal split, things started getting harder. Then once managed payments became a real thing, this slowly got less and less traffic.
I think many of us take for granted what we already know. If you had no idea about anything, you'd try to reopen a new account after a suspension, eBay or whomever would detect your IP, automatic easy ban. This is what I did when I was like 21, not understanding anything, and what drove me to this forum.
So there are still plenty things to learn, its just not the same as before. And all the old info is forever stored here for new people to read if they take the time. If you want to do eBay now you pretty much need a business account IMO, to me thats the only thing that works. I always thought this way back in 2016 with Paypal. If someone had no intentions to go through that route (I presume majority didn't), then thats why there are less.
Plus the game is harder!
Survival of the fittest.

Love you guys!
I never meant for the forum or even the guides to last forever.
I originally blogged about getting back on eBay after a suspension (years ago).. a very simple how-to guide and I was very surprised how popular that topic was.. thus I opened the forum.
I wrote the guide eBay Stealth and than Amazon Ghost and stuck around for years providing as much support as I could within the forum.
I wanted people to get a second chance at eBay and Amazon. I gave them the tools to do that and I hoped for their success. And MANY were successful! Many people came... gained the information, got back to selling and left. Which is great!
I'm very happy that the forum, my guides and the many thousands of people here came together to help each other.. that's awesome!
Looking back at the forum now, all the cool people that I've met along the way.. the dramas... the awesome feedback from people purchasing the guide.. it's nice.
For those that have been around forever, the 10+ years people, you guys are crazy! Lol. I still can't believe rsot posting as much as he does, every day.
I'm not gone. I'm working in secret. Yeah I'm "retired" now but I find fulfilment in building.. so I'm building again... in secret. | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to aspkin For This Useful Post:

It's quite amazing how the forum has been a part of my life since I joined in about 2010, I have been selling on Ebay, Amazon and other sites using the stealth principles I learned here. Travelling all around the world, sitting in random coffee shops in random places browsing the forum - my computers are full of screenshots I have taken over the years of what I thought could be useful nuggets of information. I also applied the stealth ninja knowledge that I learned here to other websites - using Fresh IP's, different browsers, VCC's, etc.
I don't know what direction my life would have taken had it not been for the forum, but thankful for the opportunities that the knowledge has given me | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to sax4 For This Useful Post:

2020 was my last year to accumulate SERIOUS money in a short amount of time, and I didn't take appropriate action. Now it's back to the real World for me. 9 to 5 lifestyle. At least it'll be consistent income this time, and not just great money randomly, here and there. My main goal now is to create income through dividends as I work.
