Police follows me and gave me 2 tickets from different locations
Seriously this pissed me off. Yesterday 5:30 PM EST I was driving moderate speed on a two way street. A young cop puts its nose of the car into road so I swerved to avoid hitting the car at Point A. I kept driving and I made a left turn 2 blocks down the street. I noticed he was following me so I used all turn signals and made a right just up the street. I knew he was running my plates(clean record :D) so I didn't get nervous or anything. Kept going, I went through an intersection and went up a little hill and made another left drove 3 more blocks and then he put his lights on where I then pulled over on a corner at Point B.
He ask me if I was in a rush to go somewhere and I told him no, then he asked me why was I speeding(at Point A). I told him I was going 25-30 max! He asked me was you really going 25 miles per hour and I said yes! Then he asked me why I didn't pulled over when he turn his lights on. I told him I just notice you pulled your lights on and if I did notice earlier I was be able to pull over because the they were cars parked on the street. He took my stuff and came back 15 minutes later with 2 tickets. One for CARELESS DRIVING(at Point A) and another for FAILURE TO YIELD FOR AN AUTHORIZED VEHICLE (at Point B)! Two tickets at 2 different locations! Can he do that?
Both tickets are $85 each, and I think the Cop was being an A-Hole( they are in my city seriously )! I would like to know if his actions are racially motivated, was he upset, or was he was a plain ol A-Hole! I don't mean to play the "race card" but I don't think his actions were justifiable. If I was driving carelessly(at Point A) why didn't he pulled me over there? Also at Point B was the other ticket necessary? I didn't drive 3 more blocks before puling over!
I would like to build a lawsuit case on the officer, racial profiling or anything else. I think there is something I can do about this. I know that the cop's dash cam can show I was not driving erratically(from me swerving at Point A and driving to Point B) and the actually relay time it took me to pull over at Point B.
Before I set up any consultation with any lawyers, I would like to know what the experts think. Can something be done? I don't want those false allegations on my nice 5 year clean driving record.
Please reply,
Thanks You
