| incniu | 03-06-2010 10:30 PM | Good. that one has no fee and CASH. Also depends on what products you sell. |
| tenggo | 03-06-2010 11:28 PM | website, probably about 25% goes through it |

| tenggo | 03-08-2010 11:42 PM | yeah, i just used cubecart, very easy to set up and edit, and it is free |
| teedon | 03-11-2010 07:04 AM | Build own website is very good idea to sell stuffs,as no post rule there, you can just post whateven you want ,but you need to some ads to let people know your website and your products. It may need some skills and some experiece |
| wilburnet | 03-11-2010 11:00 AM | I have my own online dvd store reaping big profits - its great as there's no hassle , No Ebay watching over what i do or other sellers reporting listings and no competition !! I still sell on Ebay but at a very low volume . The online shop is going great and i would advise anyone else to forget Ebay if your selling risky products and be your own boss. Opening up an online shop is much more affordable than you think |
| bigmac | 03-11-2010 11:50 AM | Is it alot of wrk to make your own website? |
| incniu | 03-11-2010 07:54 PM | Right. Selling on ebay is unstable and risky now.
What kind of dvds are you selling? IS it easy to attract customers to your own site?
Running a website is cheaper than paying damn ebay fees.. Quote:

| philly387 | 03-11-2010 08:22 PM | Amazon and Craigslist are great. If you have your own website and can market that, even better! |
| 411guru | 03-11-2010 09:00 PM | I have my own site. If you use free website making software and have some basic html skills, then its pretty easy. The hard part is getting traffic to your site. You can do organic way but it will take 6-12 months to show up decently high in a search result. What I do is google adwords and its great. But can cost alot and needs some knowledge. |
| GREMLIN | 03-13-2010 10:18 AM | Yup google adwords can be costly especially with the click through fraud. you may want to check out the following article Google Sued For Click Fraud | WebProNews
Organic search results can be achieved much sooner then 6 - 12 months - you just need to keep at it - when you do get results then they are very rewarding.
However it does also depend on your keywords, niche and competition levels.
Why not get a seo company to work on your site - check out my thread on the buy and trade section - ive helped companies reduce there adwords cost from £8k a month to about £200 - they get more traffic and better click through rates- all because they decided to take the organic route. |
| teedon | 03-23-2010 07:46 AM | Yes,if you have your own website and then you can post anythings you want,no rule ,no banned. Most our customers have their own website to sell dvds boxset and make much profit each month. |
| LOUCHIE | 03-23-2010 10:03 AM | For those of you that have your own website, is there a greater risk of getting caught for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ products? |
| aspkin | 03-23-2010 10:12 AM | I have been preaching having your own website to sale your products for years now.
If you want a second source of income that won't disappear overnight then get your website up asap. I even made a simple guide to show a newbie how to do it: Webmaster Blueprint – Learn How to Build & Market Your Own Business Step By Step!
I started with my own website then I used eBay as another source of sales. There are plenty of ways to make sales online.. you just have to be willing to put some work into it. |

But if the thing you are selling is against your payment processor policy, such as adult videos etc, then they could close your account, then you couldn't sell anything cuz you won't be able to collect money. |

Yea, a website is definately the way to go. What are some good site hosts to use? I was using Go Daddy then all of a sudden they started charging me like $60/month to host my site so I let it go. |

They're hosted at 'The Planet', one of the most stable sever environments in the US. Plus they have pretty good prices. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:45 AM. | |
