Default Multiple User Accounts - Problem

SO after my little problem with paypal trying to verify accounts I decided to create mutiple user accounts finally.
All goes well except one thing.
I have about a hundred user accounts now and they all work fin and fast when I log into them.
The problem is when I log off and switch between them. When I get to the welcome screen I am supposed to be able to scroll between the various accounts to select which one I want to log on to. This screen is EXTREMLY slow to respond and as a result switching between the accounts and into the correct account takes forever...
Any suggestions about this? am I doing anything wrong?

Of course it's going to be slow. You have 100 user accounts what do you expect!

Laptop - LG P310
P8400 Processor
4 GB Ram
Windows XP SP3
Im planning on having 200 User accounts in total on this one.
Any suggestions as to how many I should have on one laptop? I can buy another one if its a problem.
Thing is though - the laptop itself runs fast when Im logged into any given account. Its just slow on the welcome screen when I have to choose which user account to log into.
Any advice would be welcome. How many user accounts do others out there maintain on a computer?

I have 20 but I only really need 10 even though I have 100 accounts, there's no way I'm gonna log in and out of 100 accounts every day, 10 is good enough.

The problem is not with logging into them every day but rather keeping all the flash cookies and regular cookies seperated so I dont run into any Ebay or Paypal verification issues (see my other thread for info on the paypal verification thing).
I have 3 laptops. I think ill divide my accounts between all 3 of them. Should keep it manageable that way.

Unless your planning to rake in $100,000-1 million a month there's no need to have 100 user accounts.

I suggest you download this program called power toys. It lets you remove accounts from not showing up on the welcome page.

After some searching I managed to find that app - it was removed by Microsoft way back in April 2002.
Installed it.
Works like a charm!

This app is fantastic. Now the only problem is the future and switching to Windows 7 at some point. So a couple of questions:
1. is the slow down with multiple user accounts as bad on a windows 7 machine with newer hardware (say an i5 processor with 6gb of ram)?
2. is there a similar app (as the super fast user switcher) for windows 7?
3. are user accounts handled similarly in windows 7 as far as seperation of cookies flash cookies and all other trackable info?
If anyone out there has answers Id appreciate them again .

Thought Id update my thread with Windows 7 info.
Windows 7 has no slow down problem whatsoever when it comes to multiple user accounts.
I currently have 200 user accounts on my new Windows 7 machine and its running fast and smooth. Im loving it.

I bet this is possible, might be some huge risk involved and some hardass work, but imagine haha that would be awesome.

can you explain this app to a non-techie

I had a look and all i could see that was useful was managing up to 4 desktops from toolbar..

what part of it actually helps multiple users..

I have this problem too, nowhere near 100 accounts ! but pc runs slow and I think its down to multiple users...........

This app basically allows you to remove user accounts from the main screen, but it does not delete any of the files. If you need the user account again, you can go to the app and enable it in order to see it on the main log in screen.

I would suggest just switching to Windows 7. I have not encountered any slow down when it comes to multiple user accounts and my system actually seems to be more stable and run faster now.

Why would anyone make 200 windows users? There is no need for this. Use a spreed sheet and save the harm your putting your computer tho.

Yep, I still do not understand why you need 200 windows users...

I am just wondering does amazon read your CPU ID? I have 1 laptop with multiple OS and on each OS I have a dedicated Mobile Internet Dongle. Can amazon see the 2 accounts that are on the computer?
