Yes, you could unmark payment received no matter the payment pass via the paypal or not...

even the buyer response to the dispute by stating they paid it by paypal, you still could close the dispute to hurt the bad buyer account...

Since ebay is like trying to join the secret service sometimes ( paypal too ), im surprised that they haven't said that all users must pass a psychiatric assessment test.

This would save alot of us innocent sellers the hassles of the various nutjobs that plough around on ebay.

Default Getting back...

I had a buyer supply a bad address, guess what, it was a verified address from PayPal. It missing the suite number. The buyer paid the shipping again with an updated address and I sent it out. She was more embarrassed then anything. Probably get good from her on.

For the one that left neutral, well not much you can do about it unless you mark unpaid. PayPal does link a little to eBay on the payment with IPN being passed back and forth. It takes 7 days for a Non paid item to be reportable and they DO get notified of it. If the person is new to eBay then they may not see it soon enough or figure out what it is for. If so then the neg is removed basically from your FB.

I would also notify PP about the person with the wrong address. Tell them the shipment is lost due to their incompetence. See if they blink. They have basically told you "They live here!" and you should be covered by the seller protection based on that information.

Default E-buyer rant

Seriously some of these buyers are really annoying me. I sold a computer on ebay it sold for over $1000 plus and i saw the person that bid was a newb account was only about 3 days old no feedback and i KNEW i should have blocked them but i let it go HOPING they wouldnt win. Of course, they won. Emailed and said they will send payment shortly. Then i got another message saying he has to verify his paypal account because he was over his buyer limit. Now im pretty sure this means adding like a bank account on the account which takes maximum 3 days. It been over a week now. I told him the auction is no longer available for sale because its way past the payment deadline and i sent a dispute to mutually close just to get it over with. Instead he cancels it to continue with the transaction....come onnnn! I have already relisted the item, sold it and received funds i just dont want to pay extra fees.

I wish there was an option to block stupid buyers. Ebay should work on that, they too have alot in common with stupidity.

Default Buyers getting dumber and dumber...

I don't know why, but I'm getting a lot of dumb buyers lately. The latest one bought a product from me 4 days ago, I shipped it to him 3 days ago and it clearly states in the listing that overseas shipping takes 2-3 weeks. Anyways, that's not the point. Today he opened a dispute with PayPal saying that it arrived completely broken, "in 1000 pieces", in his own words. I checked my account and noticed my feedback dropped -1. I already knew what had happened. I checked my feedback page and he already left me a nasty negative how I sent him a totally broken item.

I then answered him and told him why he opened the dispute and left the negative feedback because his item didn't even arrive yet, it was still in the mail. After a while he responded saying he confused me with another seller ...but didn't say sorry and said he'll keep the PayPal dispute open just in case this one arrives broken too.

Awesome, I'm stuck with a dispute AND a negative feedback, both which I didn't deserve. :(

Oh man sorry to hear. Can you not respond to the dispute to show it is still in transit and contact ebay help to say you are new and this buyer is lying?

imjustme, we are all getting these nuts, I had one tell me if it didnt arrive in 3 days per the USPS website for priority mail he was coming to my house to get his money back.
When I told him that my mad wife carrys a revolver and if she opens the door make sure you duck because she does not have very good aim. Hadnt heard from him since.
I stopped shipping globally just because of what you posted.

The problem is, the tracking for the shipping method he paid for won't show up in USPS until after it has cleared customs, which takes like 10-14 days. I have 10 days to respond with a tracking number. So my luck would be if it shows up on the 10th day. If not, I lose the PayPal dispute.

I think this buyer is even dumber than I thought. He also bought the same item just a few minutes ago from 2 of my other accounts. 1 from each. I'm going to tell him in a few hours that it has been shipped. If he opens disputes as well, I'll refund his payment and will give him 3 unpaid item strikes, 1 with each account. That will get his account killed. :D

Funny, he has 60+ feedback and a 'private' feedback profile. Must be for a reason.

This is what you should do. Enter the tracking # on either the 9th or 10th day. Paypal will then take a few days before they confirm the tracking #. Also, in the notes section on the dispute...enter exactly what happened. Say "customer made a mistake and thought I was another seller and opened this dispute. When the customer found out I was the wrong seller, he said he decided to keep it open just in case. The tracking # entered will confirm the delivery of the product. Since this is an international item, it usually takes 10-14 business days before the tracking # shows up on the USPS website."

One more thing...u can always give them the tracking # and enter the Japan postal website in the "other" section in the dispute for paypal to check the tracking.

haha you're one of the funniest posters on the site

I knew it!!!!!! About 9 hours ago, I sent him an email from both accounts, about an hour apart, that his packages had been shipped. 30 minutes ago he opened PayPal disputes for both of them saying "I never got this, please give me my money back". HAH! I will refund that little crook and then launch 3 unpaid item strikes on him only minutes apart, in a few days time. That will send his poop down his pants.

I'm a good seller, really. I have 7 accounts that have reached 100+ feedback, and all of it 100% positive. I work my butt off to keep my customer happy and it shows in the score. If I ever do something wrong like forget to ship an item, then I give all the money back to the customer and send it to them for free. I go beyond everything to make my customers happy. Then someone like this comes along and potentially ruins my feedback score. I can't allow that.

I think that eBay shouldn't allow buyers period to have their feedback private. I know some do it so people don't know what they are buying but I don't think its a good idea.
