Registered mail does get the signature. If you pay $2.10 more for return receipt then you get something back of proof. Post office told me online tracking international is only for global express guaranteed. |
| Jonas | 02-29-2008 11:49 PM | You can wait till they bid, cancel stating it was because of seeing buyer's feedback then block. |
the problem with blocking, from looking at the forums, is that it sets off flags on eBay, especially if you block one user from several separate accounts.
the problem with malicious competitors, is that they can sign up new accounts and you could potentially not know who they are,
there's a way to link these competitors by IP, through the listings, in which case you have the upper hand, and can implement whatever is needed accordingly. |
| siashay | 03-02-2008 10:03 AM | Just proves buyers gets away with anything Just to prove how unfair ebay is to buyers. I opened a new account about a month ago, and started buying. When ebay pulled their new policy about not leaving the buyer neg feedback. I contacted two of my friends from out of state. (I didn't want to screw a unwilling seller). I had them both list something that I would bid on and not pay. One thing was for like $39 the other was a laptop for $399. I had them go through the whole thing with getting there fee's back, but told them not to leave neg feedback. Then I email one of them and cuss her out. I had her send the email to ebay. Ebay contacts me two days later with a warning. Then I go and start trouble on ebay's boards. Eventually I got kicked off the boards but not suspended. Then I bid on another one of my friends auctions. She tries to get her fee's back and ebay tells HER she should have blocked me and won't give her her fee's back. I get a warning from ebay that I am in contract I have to pay if I bid bla bla bla. I let the account sit for a week. Two days ago I put a cc on it and before I am done I get the suspension notice.
I know this info doesn't help you, but I found it very interesting how much they let the "buyer" get away with. As sellers, ebay put us all in jeopardy. |

The only way to be almost foolproof is the have items fixed price, immediate payment required, but I don't know if that works with ccnow as I heard ccnow mails the invoice in. |
| DeathToEbay | 03-11-2008 01:08 AM | Buyer complains about shipping charges after auction is over. What to do?
Some kid complaining over $5 in shipping costs, and threating to report me to ebay for excessive shipping.
All the other buyers were charging the same price for this item.
I can't refund him my paypal is limited now. |
| DeathToEbay | 03-11-2008 01:09 AM | If I did wrong e bay would cancel the auction!
I think it's because of the new e bay rules. |
| GreenBean | 03-11-2008 01:23 AM | What is the deal? If this is one complaint, work through it and move on. Do you know this buyer personally? Or has he dared to stir something in you? Get my drift?
Should this be another complaint from another buyer, then you will have to look at your attitude in selling. Surely you really want a buyer(no matter how
stupid) to think you are a good guy..... you have to work the buyer and work them hard. |
| DeathToEbay | 03-11-2008 01:28 AM | I just don't like being threaten for a few bucks. :P |
| GreenBean | 03-11-2008 01:35 AM | Pick: a threat over a couple of bucks or bye bye from ebay?
Once, I would have seethed at that and acted stupidly. |
| imjustme | 03-11-2008 02:55 AM | What does his name or Kebab got to do with anything? |
| thelizardking | 03-11-2008 03:19 AM | Whats a Kebab coupon? Id be like...what? If I were hassan
Maybe give them a $5 refund? It sounds like you have a friend..maybe an old friend? |
| twdell | 03-11-2008 08:11 AM | you have to think is the $5 really worth getting into a long email battle over? and is it worth receiving a negative feedback. now that you have been suspended from ebay the first time you have to everything you can to make the customers happy. i have been shipping things for free, and sometimes not even taking a payment. we have to kiss the customers butts now. i would be as polite as possible in your emails to him. try to avoid as many bad feedbacks as possible or you can get suspended again. |
| DeathToEbay | 03-11-2008 10:21 AM | What's the use my paypal got limited again. I don't care anymore. I'll make a new account. |
| mantisinc | 03-11-2008 10:40 AM | Why is your paypal limited? It has nothing to do with this I take it...? |
| DeathToEbay | 03-11-2008 11:08 AM | Limited because I sold $500 item and withdraw $ too quickly |
| ivegotinfo | 03-12-2008 01:46 PM | kill him off ebay :) if you are really pissed off |
| imjustme | 03-12-2008 03:31 PM | hahaha ...cheapo buyer I have the same product listed in my eBay shop, on 2 different accounts, but with 2 different descriptions, different photos (different background and view), etc. Basically I'm 2 different sellers to the buyers. I'm the only one selling this on eBay, though.
I sell it for $50 per item plus shipping and yesterday had a potential buyer ask me if I would consider selling him 3 of the items for $80 including shipping. Obviously I declined telling him it's not possible and I would lose money. I didn't hear back.
A few minutes ago, I got a question on my other account, from the same buyer, telling me the seller XYZ (my other account name) is selling me 3 of these items for $80. if you can give it to me cheaper I will buy it from you instead.
Hilarious!!! It doesn't work for $80, he goes lying to my other account name and tries to get it even cheaper!! :D |
| twdell | 03-12-2008 03:39 PM | i hate when people ask you to end an item early, because of some sob story. they say they need this product asap. so then i give them the fair price of what the item usually gets i never hear from them again. cheapskate liars. i don't respond to end early questions any more. waste of time. |
| thelizardking | 03-12-2008 03:49 PM | haha too bad you couldn't call him out on it...actually I just sold to someone early cause it went way above what I thought it would (Love when that happens) then left it up cause I have 2 went up even more and sold both basically at the same time and only paid fees once...thats rare tho
but otherwise im tired of the emails wanting a early ending for less than what their top bid is.."I didn't think my bid would go that high" then why did you put in that amount? |
| GreenBean | 03-12-2008 03:59 PM | And ebay sides with buyers. Seems no matter what you try, buyers try you out
as well. |
| Jonas | 03-14-2008 01:09 AM | I find buyers will want it ended ASAP but buyers take forever to pay for the item. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:03 PM. | |
