Default The Hilarious Things Top Rated Sellers Get Away With Thread...

I'm seeing more and more ridiculous listings from TRS's on eBay. These are pretty much blatant, in your face, shady, and obviously bootleg items being sold right under eBay's nose, and it's like they don't even see these sellers because of their TRS status... I have seen a number of obvious frauds, but inexplicably I'm drawing a blank, but I can recall what I just saw.

Some seller is selling BOGUS Nintendo DS Lite's with 62 games, and 11 accessories for 99 bucks!!

I swear I have seen worse. I'm not gonna post their auction because I don't want anyone being reported on my accord. I couldn't care less. I just though it would be a fun thread if we all post what ridiculous listings we have seen that are actually being allowed because of TRS status. WOW! It must be nice.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Hmmmm, and the value of this is? For a laugh or what? TRS have either put a lot of work into becoming one or paid the bucks.

I kinda feel it would be better to make sure one's own account is up to speed. Let them be . What's going to happen there will be an example & someone here will copy the listing & lose an account....for the sake of what?

I'm sorry, the DS Lite didn't have you in tears? Of course this is just for laughs. As I've already stated I don't want anyone's auctions put out, but Every time I turn around I see a TRS selling extra bogus items. Anyone who tries to duplicate the DS deal is a complete idiot and does not deserve to be selling anything online, let alone eBay. No Id's, no links, just share what you have seen. This forum could use a laugh.

I have a couple of accounts is TRS status. All it takes is to sell good quality items at a fair price and ship quickly.

Being a TRS might help a little in keeping an account, but that does NOT mean that you can just sell anything you want. Start selling lots of foo-foo items and you will lose the account TRS or not.

The example you cited above is an account waiting for closure. Don't believe me? Watch that seller. Check back in 2 weeks, 1 month and 2 months. By then, the accouint will be history. What this person is doing is not smart. They will get away with it for awhile, but not for any length of time.

Most people's sales are down due to the economy. Some sellers, even long time ones, are turning to this to try to make some more money. So this person could have great feedback and a ton of past sales. But eBay will catch on.
