Hey do I see death of skype?!
 

Hi!

For the last few days, in my gmail account under the chat section...a window keeps popping up telling me that I can call for free US/Canada in 2010!? So, I tried it and it worked!

While I admire Google's achievement---I think they are becoming toooo powerful...not to mention I feel that skype is in or will be in trouble?!

Yes, I was using the google phone service and I must say, it's an AWESOME feature! I regularly check my emails often and find it very simple to multitask..heh. I don't have to open a seprate application to load my voip software.

Now, my only concern is..how much information are we going to give google...It looks like there going to rule the internet world...:faint:

You can call North America for free (USA and Canada) but that's only a promotional offer to kick start there voip service.

What about receiving

google voice is free incoming calls, I believe. Skype won't die because of this... that company is huge... plus, they're partners with Verizon now.

So all my gmails show this but when I click on it "Google Voice is not available in your country"

So can we use this in Canada, or not yet?
