If anyone had told me 40 years ago that I would end up on the side of a mountain taking care of a grumpy old man, sheep, cows, pigs, horses and chickens - and considering myself extremally lucky to be doing so - I would have laughed myself silly
My life has had more twists and turns in it than you could ever begin to imagine
As far as we know this is a one way trip so enjoy it - treat others as you would have them teat you - hurt no one - and remember if you still think the same when you are 60 as you do at 20 you have wasted 40 years of living | I thank you for your words wisdom. You are so correct. I became a proud granny at 38 and it totally changed my perspective on everything.
Life does not always pan out as we dreamed in our teens but we have to embrace it.
Each stage is unique with a wealth of knowledge to be gained (for those of us who pay attention).
I do not fear age nor getting older heck I will still feel young just the mirror will disagree.
I also take care of many animals I am a huge activist here for their rights.Cleaning Kennels for all my foster babies is hardly pleasant. I feel extremely lucky to be able to make a difference.
Animals love unconditionally young, old, rich, poor they do not care.
We as humans can learn a lot from them.
By the way I also had a grouchy old man,He has been replaced with a Golden Retriever. |
