If your family or friends do not know what you do they are not much of a family or friend.

In fact I always help many family members, young ones like nieces and nephews with finding things to sell on ebay when they need money etc.

They all know I am the ebay queen.

Same here, my family and friends know exactly what I do even some aqaintances I just see around town. But when filling out applications I put internet sales, online marketing something like that tell em I sell digital products.

Well im not trying to hide anything and when they ask I tell them becuz I can sell them stuff at 30% off retail or even more. I sell a lot of stuff that way to their kids they pay cash which is even better.

Even workers at the bank ask me and have bought things from me

I tell them, i am on internet marketing sales...Then i explain how High Street days are gone, and everything is on internet.
Also i say i sell electronics of various site and have a storage where i stock etc etc....they seem to be intrested but never tell them the full extent

I got bored of telling people what I do. Now I just make up random professions to spice things up. Sometimes I'm a stunt man, sometimes I'm a volunteer at the local dogs home, sometimes I'm a religious leader and sometimes I say "I work for the government. I'm not allowed to say what I do,"....that's always a good one ;-)

But all my friend and everyone here knows I'm just a student and an eBay seller :-)
