Default amazon or ebay: Which do you prefer?

That site annoys me off just by looking at it. All the pictures are stock photos.

Are you even allowed regular photos taken by you to be used as your listing??? You can't tell if its real or not. And where the hell is the feedback?

The reviews are nothing but generic reviews about the product... see nothing about the seller.......The website looks like a store. I guess that's what people like... but you get no info about the seller..

I can't even tell who is selling the damn item and what other items he has for sale..

And a quick question. What payment processor do they use?

You can only last on amazon if you are a professional company or present yourself as a professional. Amazon is a gold mine.

What I never understood is how Amazon sellers offer the same item as Amazon, but for a higher amount, and still get people to buy from them?

If a battery is $5 with free shipping directly through Amazon, how do Amazon sellers sell for $6 plus $2 shipping? LOL, weird!

I prefer amazon any day over ebay as a buyer and a seller. As I seller I dont have to worry about wasting 30 minutes creating my listing description, taking pictures or anything like that.

As a buyer its limited and exactly what I am looking for.

I hate reading sellers long descriptions on ebay

I have sold on both platforms and I can tell you I dont send 30 minutes making a listing even with adding a custom made picture. I send about 2-3 minutes per listing including the picture taking.

I have also bought things on both platforms, I like ebay better since you know from the pictures what you are getting. I only buy items from people who post more than 1 picture.

amazon is considered to be a very trusted site by buyers, descriptions of the items are enough.

that is why you get a better profit on amazon, the buyer will pay more because they feel safer. the return process is also a lot easier.

ebay is still like the wild west. if you don't know your way around ebay, it can be very difficult to open a case.

most just give up and never come back again. personally i enjoy both of them but it really depends on what you sell.

amazon is EXTREMELY easy to list on.

Im with you. I hate Amazon. I opened an account last month for the first time ever and decided to delete it. Its alot more complicated then Ebay. Not a fan of them one bit. Good luck to those that choose to go that route though

It really ALL Depends on what you are selling, Some things sell MUCH better on Ebay, Like Antiques, Cars, Home Decor type items, While other things sell MUCH Better on Amazon like Books, Games, Laptops, ect, so it really depends on what you are selling

Judging by the OP, amazon is more for the mature types.

You can sell on amazon even from OZ.

Facebook had something sometime back whereby OZ users could sell.

Cant recall all the info right now.
