Sandy D 02-03-2013 12:07 PM

I have sold many things from the dollar stores for more then triple.

I have done fantastic making money and building new accounts from the dollar stores.

Bunneh 02-03-2013 12:27 PM

This is definitely a good idea, i was looking at there catalog, and most of the stuff doesn't even look like $1.

So im gonna try it out for sure

GhostWhoWalks 02-03-2013 06:21 PM

Yeah try it and let me know how it works out for you! :) lol

moneyhustler88 02-03-2013 08:52 PM

have to try this deffos

GhostWhoWalks 02-03-2013 09:10 PM

You'll love it! Let me know how it went in a week k?

Sandy D 02-03-2013 09:16 PM

Trial and error with stuff they have.

Lucky for me if I picked something when I first started doing this I put it into a box lot and ran it back through an auction house.

Now after a long time I know what to buy and what not to buy.

GhostWhoWalks 02-04-2013 07:36 AM

I go for stuff that's light to ship and don't cost too much offer FREE S&H on top of it so it's better for search engines!

Sandy D 02-08-2013 09:15 AM

Stopped by one yesterday and they had a bin with 1.00 sale on movies.

Some were actually very good movies.

Will toss them on Amazon when I get time.

Something tells me a clerk just tossed even the better ones with the lousy failed movies by mistake but oh well.

Not all dollar stores carry the exact same items. Many carry specific items based on the area or town. Look into those type of items.

Dead on!

I buy a candy only made and sold in my state and many who lived here grew up eating it and have no access to it. Now they do!

I know someone who lives close to a potato chip factory and buys by the box fulls because it is a large college town. Kids get hooked on them during college and order by the case from him when get out of college.

GhostWhoWalks 02-08-2013 02:55 PM

Amazon when you get them! SO FUNNY! I know that mcds around America has different foods from state to state, like Mcchickens are spicy in Florida but not in Michigan.

I know that walmart sells different items in all locations, I figured same with dollar stores!

You'll always make money with FOOD no matter what!

Sandy D 02-08-2013 10:13 PM

I sell a ton of food items that are only made or can be purchased around me.

I also find sale priced Gator, Seminole etc items at the local stores and sell online to those who went to school here or lived here and moved.

Where to buy and where to sell is all you need to know. Then again...

GhostWhoWalks 02-09-2013 03:03 AM

Yup Sandy there is 2 things there Luxembourg has in foods that I can't get any where else in the world! One is a sauce, and the other is a hot dog type that is so damn good. After coming back to Luxembourg after 15+ years I ate nothing but that for 2 weeks to make up for the lost time!

There is a website here in Luxembourg selling foods online that is not in Europe! Here is the site check it out, might give you an idea and who knows might make you more money! Food is not my thing! americana.lu

And all those things you see on the website you can't find those products or brands in stores in Luxembourg or Europe! Ranch dressing for chicken strips and salad I can't find in this country, BBQ for the first 3 years they didn't have it here now they do! Along with other daily stuff I use to buy.

Check it out.

GhostWhoWalks 02-09-2013 03:04 AM

Also monster energy drink here cost .86 cents in Canada $3-4+ just for one CAN! I should fill up my suite case with this stuff when I move there! LOL

oompaloompa 02-12-2013 08:55 AM

its the postage that is an issue, it needs to be a flat item or it falls in to package catagory and not letter > I do this to start accounts off, eg to get 20 dsr , stuff sells quick, I thought about doing it a main product but noticed alot of competition and thought it was a waste of time, but I will have a rethink. I have only seen a couple of lightweight products I liked that could make money....but will have another look! Would be useful to find a local 50p place, all my locals are poundshops...

km018 02-12-2013 12:53 PM

I'm going to head to one tomorrow to see what I can find. I've been researching and there are foods in my area that sell great online. Only downfall is that there is competition on ebay selling same food items.

GhostWhoWalks 02-12-2013 01:08 PM

There will always be competition in everything. Computers, Music, TV channels, light bulbs, laptops (even the companies that build them dell HP sony) they have competition also. W.W.F./W.C.W. Cars, Mustang/Corvette, Christina & Britney, Michael Jackson & Prince, Late night TV shows like David & Jay, etc list goes on.

Just make sure you can cover your cost, product + ebay fees + paypal fees + shipping = profits!

Find anything?

I have listed and sold many items in different categories from the 4 different dollar stores I have around me.

Not a ton of profit but some profit and nice fb builder.

km018 02-13-2013 08:09 AM

I'm going tonight. I'm not always the most creative, but I'll reply back.

stevebills 02-13-2013 10:48 AM

Sounds good but as I can only list 25 items the profit would be peanuts

GhostWhoWalks 02-13-2013 11:13 AM

For some who don't know what to sell to make money, they can sell these and build up feedback! Until they find a niche in their own business.

For you peanuts might be another mans treasure? If he has over 250 items. And sales lets say 50 per day or 75 per day earning $1.25 profits still not bad! That's $22,800 to $34,200 per year. PEANUTS!!!!! That's what AMERICANS make in the USA! After or before taxes? LOL

Remember not everyone is as gifted as you Sir! Some have a hard time, some just lost their jobs! I will make another important thread for emails I get from a lot of you on here. :) I just want to be helpful!

I've seen sellers selling 150 items, and having feedback of 700 and all their items were under $6.99

Money is money! Maybe one day he'll have something better to sell or stick with that. And he'll have like an account with 3,000 feedback in good standing and all. Or not. Who knows. Don't be negative about it either.

turboman 02-14-2013 05:38 PM

ive got stuff from cheap shops not always £1 stores but i dont mind spending £2.99 £4.99 or £9.99 on an item if it makes a profit

just this week at a car boot sale i picked up a jem... a very well loved past time toy that i just so happen to know is a big hit in the usa

bought for £1 sold for £80 :hail:

im happy as a pig in poo

ive done the same with vintage collectible tv related action figures
bought some from a discount store who had found some old factory stock nos toys... i walk in and buy the lot... £1 action figures hit £100+ on a regular basis

most ive ever had for a £1 figure was $350

i love =} and canadians too canericans i like to call them as i always have an american and canadian fighting over my items :typing:

GhostWhoWalks 02-14-2013 05:43 PM

Update: For those of you who don't have a lot of money or don't know what will sell and just starting out. Go to the store with a friend wearing a white sweater or T-shirt, take out the camera phone have them turn their backs too you, pull out that camera phone and snap a few pictures! Then post it and see what will sell!

Its called good planning.

With all the changes on ebay you have to be smarter then they are and play the game.

To play the game you have to sell low end stuff on a new account to build it over time.

I have over 500 accounts with more then half of them being worked from a baby stealth account to a powerselling money making machine.

All by buying dollar store, yard sale crap and selling it for little to no profits at the beginning but after months of doing everything right those account in most cases have no limits and no holds at all.

Being smart and looking at the long term picture is the way to go.

If you are out to make quick buck on ebay with a new account you might as well do something else because it is not going to happen.

Hard work and working smart pays off.

I am living proof of it.

I take peanuts today to see cash flowing like crazy in any account I build from scratch using this method.

GhostWhoWalks 02-14-2013 07:10 PM

That's what most people don't understand Sandy!

If you are new to ebay and don't know nothing about business! The $1 store will help you out! In the mean time you will earn extra money not much but something. Plus building up feedback! That is the key! I can have any account I want and within 3.5 months get TRS + Powerseller on it and this = to even larger sales by at least 70%!!!! Peanuts is for those missing the big picture!

Sandy D 02-15-2013 12:47 AM

Running a real business is very hard for some people.

Running a business not just takes effort, hard work, determination but it also takes the knowledge of money, marketing, time management, organization skills etc and if you are weak in any of those areas you will struggle.

Most want to get rich now and in todays world with some many intelligent people online it just is not going to happen overnight much anymore.

So you have to play the game to succeed and do whatever it takes to move your business (es) or the next level when the money comes rolling in.

I build many baby stealths from scratch selling low price stuff and it does not take long I have a solid powerseller account with little to no limits at all.

Some wont understand that but that is ok.

GhostWhoWalks 02-15-2013 04:50 AM

That part is so true! And you still need to find the niche in the product(s) you are in and still require to find a good supplier on top of it!

Even in real life, most business owners open up a location and think the work is done. So many go out due to wrong and bad locations. Very nice no limits. I got no limits either. I got stuff posted totaling in the millions with over 200,000 items. (auctions with 1,000 items GTC that's why).

You are a pro Sandy, and a guru in many fields, people should listen too you if they want to make it because you are already there!

stevebills 02-15-2013 06:40 PM

I now understand that a new eBay account is so restricted you cant make much money until it matures and that takes long time

GhostWhoWalks 02-15-2013 07:47 PM

Not really my first month selling on ebay I $800+ sales that's already something! 2nd month, add 50%, 3rd month was the same, and that month I got powerseller + TRS and $2700+ sales (90 to 120 days) and total sales of $2700+ after that it was $2200 to $2600 each month for a good 4 months until I lost TRS cause of open case etc.

Sandy D 02-16-2013 01:51 AM

My dollar store close out buy this morning was to good to be true.

Wall full of gloves. Gloves dont sell well in Florida.

Lg yellow sign

ALL GLOVES 0.99 with arrows pointing down.

In those was some very expensive name brand gloves marked 24.99, 19.99, 16.99 etc.

Dazed knowing no way would they do this I filled the cart to the top with them.

I put them on the counter and she rang up first pair for 19.99. I said wait, those are 0.99. The clerk and she said that is for the brown jersey gloves only.

I said but the sign reads ALL GLOVES 0.99

She said let me check with the co manager.

She comes from the back and they talk for a second and the manager said to me the sign was suppose to be on the display over there for the brown jersey gloves.

I said wait a minute, if the sign reads all gloves 0.99. It does not say a specific type.

Co manager said since the sign was wrongly place by an employee we have to sell you a pair for that price.

I said no, it said all gloves, not one pair.

She said you are correct, our error and we have to sell you for the price posted.

Fuming mad she told the cashier ring them up for 0.99 and remind me to talk to Beth about the sign.

Walk out with some new brand name womens and mens gloves for 0.99.

Terapeaked some tonight and many sold in the 14-17 range and another one in the 9.00-12.00 range.

Lucky to be at the right place at the right time.

Same store that put 10.00 movies in the bin for 0.99 a while back.

mjstallion 02-16-2013 02:53 AM

I was at the sushi bar a few weeks ago and had the misfortune of sitting next to someone who claimed to own half the commercial property in town, and wouldn't shut up about it.

He left me with one bit of advice. The 99 cents store in CA/AZ/NV has nice bicycle lights and the same ones retail for $13 at the bike shop. He said if I sold them for $6 a piece on ebay I'd sell 25 a week.

I can't be bothered selling something for a few bucks profit, and I didn't particularly like the guy. But anyone interested can go ahead and take a stab at it ;)

GhostWhoWalks 02-16-2013 06:54 AM

I would of paid $0.99 and resold them for $9 on the spot back too them! :pound: lol

BRAVO!

Wait a $1 store selling stuff for $19.99 wtf??? What happened to America??? It's not .99 cents any more????

I am missing something or was this not a .99 store? lol sorry!

Eh kinda like me. I email a few on here giving them and telling them how to make it and what to do easy steps. Normally within 2nd email they understand. I ask a few others who make it, they tell me cause I share info. I honestly wouldn't care to get out of my niche! I hear their stuff, only too see if there is a way I could improve things with mine or give me an idea for my stuff.

Those lights, I wouldn't even care to sell it as well. 1 probably to heavy to ship, 2nd, might break, 3rd, omg are you kidding me? I should go in another state! Pft screw it thanks for the idea! lol. It would be something I wouldn't want to do either.

Apparently there are now stores to claim to sell $0.99 but also sell items for more.

km018 02-16-2013 01:41 PM

In my area we have "The Dollar Tree". Everything in the store is $0.99.

We also have "The Dollar General". Most things in this store are more the $1. Doesn't make much sense.

Ha ha

Dollar stores dont sell much 1.00 stuff anymore.

A newer one has tried the everything 0.99 to compete but just are not doing well.

GhostWhoWalks 02-16-2013 01:54 PM

uneducated people are the ones I make the most money on! :pound: easy to target, you can manipulate them by the millions at a time!

GhostWhoWalks 02-16-2013 02:34 PM

I only buy a lotto ticket when it's over $100 million or else it's not worth it!

Yeah those people go to bars, play poker, casino's without a system :pound: then say the house is cheating they do cheat if you have a system!

Thank god 99% of this world thinks alike!

I know a few people who got problems with ebay and don't want to sell ever again. And don't look for a solution and give up so easily! :pound:

I really think I am gifted when I see what the rest of this world has to offer!

Roscoe - They should have a new law, if the president didn't do what he said he was going to do in the first 6 months. GET OUT OF OFFICE! And has to do 50% of the things he claimed he was going to do. Oh wait none would sign this! lol. You know what I say man? Screw the world, f them all! Make your money, and get out! Make that money and go some place nice and not have to worry about anything!

Surely you can come up with a better named then the ghost of Sandy.

Believe me if marketed correctly you could find customers and get them to believe and buy your watch over me because the boogie man outside is watching. See how the As seen on TV crap sells? Most of it is crap.

Billy Mays made millions on pitching crap that never worked.

GhostWhoWalks 02-16-2013 04:09 PM
