The MLS Cup got a 0.7 rating, while the BCS Championship, which was over in 10 minutes got a 15.7, and last years Super Bowl was a 40.5.

I agree with amazon..... its dead, and will never be anything.

just cause moms toss kids in to watch them chase balls doesn't mean anything other then that.

There is only ONE reason why soccer won't be bigger in America, it has no breaks for commercials therefore the people with $ are not willing to invest in it. Truth

There are plenty of ways to advertise, so that is clearly not the reason. Burger King can plop their logo right on the field, which would hold more value than 10 30sec. commercials. The reason they dont do it is because America hates soccer. Soccer is barely on ESPN U, and extremely rare to see on the major networks. Correct me if I am wrong, but Womens Volleyball, Lacrosse, etc get more air time than soccer.

All I can gather is that you are too young to have enjoyed football in the mid 80s. Why do you think they call it the No Fun League now?

The problem is that soccer doesnt lend itself to wagering at the sports books. Not enough scoring.

Soccer is growing in the US because less of our kids are playing football as youngsters.

It will never compete with football, basketball or baseball here. Those three just have been around way to long with all that history, memories, records, fans etc.

For me, soccer is boring to watch. Just like watching golf on TV. Nap time.

Soccer is a bit like basketball in that most of the game is boring. You might as well just tune in the last 5 minutes. I will say that extra time in big games is about as good as it gets.... very similar to overtime in playoff hockey.

u guys are too used to entertainment and not genuine sport

watch the premier league...some of the games are edge of the seat

some games can be boring yes but this in inevitable

imo basketball is pants...baseball is lame and american football is just entertainment like WWE loool
