Back in 1975 one of a couple of trips to Lancaster University back in the days when they hosted top bands, had gone to see Mott the Hoople being one of the 'young dudettes' back then! But it was their support act that stole the show, an unknown up and coming group called 'Queen'! just prior to the great Bohemian Rhapsody being released! Absolutely priceless time! Freddie Mercury had star frontman written all over him and was always going to be destined for the top as they of course were in the years to come, Eurythmics were another of my faves back in the day and they were never better than in Sweet Dreams are made of this, both video wise and with Annie Lennox singing, her appearance stunned everyone, on the classical side Hall of the Mountain Kings and of course Mozart 40 which crossed over between the genre's of pop and classical brilliantly |
