Amazed at how many music fans we have here.

So, what is your favorite

Band
Song
Singer
etc.

It varies as to who I am into at a time. Right now been listening to alot of Duane Allman. Best slide guitarist hands down in my book. Mostly listening to his licks on the Layla album. Also a big SRV fan and of course Jimi.

My older brother listen to the Allman Bros Band back when I was little.

One of them was known for guitar playing if I remember.

Actually had 2 phenomenal players... Duane and also Dickey Betts.

Saw them during the betts and Haynes days. Also saw Derek trucks , he's no joke himself

Mostly listen to house and trance but when my eyes look like a lunar eclipse >.< you'll see me listening to something more like the original ac/dc with Bon Scott "hell ain't a bad place to be" @ :10 and "sin city" @ :15 :D

Oh boy. I grew up in the 60's but have diverse music taste.

Classical Jazz, Sinatra...

Also like Rap music.

Never really like heavy metal.

^^^^ Got a DVD of Electric Ladyland last year and it includes alot of interviews and retrospectives of how this masterpiece was made. It`s a miracle it ever got released at all. I recall that the producer quit in the middle and Jimi picked up the pieces and finished it on his own. Even the idiots at the record company got the title wrong in the proofs and called it something like Electric Landlord :pound:

I play a bunch of music instruments and dj'ed for fun when I was younger - trying to get back into it - just got a new DJ deck table so looking forward to it :thumb:

I actually have a BIL who has never listened to or ever will listen to music.

He could not tell you a popular band or top song at all.

I believe he is maybe early 40's.

On a vacation road trip I turned on the radio and it was playing Whos crying now, I said, wow, great song.

Answer Who sang that stupid song, whos crying now is a stupid song.

I told him I believe it might have been a no 1 hit at one time.

Next song was by Phil Collins, I said you have to now this one.

Nope, heard of him but dont know who he is.

I have known several people over the years who dont listen to any music at all.

Wow. In a weird way that almost makes me feel bad for def people who dont even have the opportunity to even hear the simplest sounds.

Like I said before I'm mainly a house/trance gym ratt butt, after a long day at school and a hard work out, feels good to come home have a couple drinks and listen to something like this:

Sounds good coming from a female, what female isn't into lovey dovey stuff =) but being a guy i like to keep my stuff hard,

most people don't think of house and trance as hard but a better way to put it is it was designed for the hard ass ;)

and believe it or not old school ac/dc and danzig are in perfect harmony with house and trance, they go together like crab and chardonay

I guess I could of said faggy, lovey dovey was just a more sarcastic way of saying it afterall Freddie Mercury was gay, nothing wrong with that, great singer "another one bites the dust" was a good track, just not the kind of tracks you'd find me bumpin around the city, great selection for a stay at home though..

it takes a certain type of male to enjoy freddie. there was no one like him. if he wasn't gay he'd have elvis status and so would queen

I know I'm not knocking freddie, I understand he was a real talented guy and singer, I come from a hard background so when I think of music I think about 1:30 am when the bars get out, the streets are crowded and everybodies crazy, at that time hard house, old school ac/dc and danzig is the only kinda music that blows it all away for me <.>

Finished up the nights work listening to Foreigner and Boston.

Guess I will have to dig out the Pink Floyd to keep up with you....

DJing was my LIFE for nearly 20 years,,,,,,I did it Professionally and was VERY successful at it, in BOTH Niteclubs and the Radio,,I could NEVER put together some "Short' list of either My Favorites or "The Best",,,WAAAAAAAAY too much good music in ALL Sorts of styles over the years

I was a ''⊗⊗⊗⊗' DJ cause I used CDs but it was more for fun. Really enjoyed house music and just wanted to feel like paul oakenfold lol. Mostly a guitarist, defi itely miss playing gigs

Paul Oakenfold uses cdj's most of the time as well as most other pro dj's these days, of course alot of them still use vinyl to from time to time but it's becoming more of a thing of the past. I to used vinyl for many years but am finally making the switch to cd with something like serato, you gotta keep up with the times eventually..
