No testdog what am saying is that Fiverr has a system in place much like eBay. A aged account of 2 months will reach levels faster than a brand new account. For example:
I opened a account yesterday it took 10 sales for it to reach level 1 which took me a while..and i know it'll be a minimum wait of another 2 months before i hit level 2..but in less than 3 days using a 2 month aged fiverr account..i've reached level 1 already..and am half way on the way to level 2..with only 7 sales..and $80 in the bank..understand?

I Think roscoes idea is proabably the most sensible post ive read in this thread.
At least with fiverr unlike ebay you know exactly what its going to cost to get good feedback.
But i still feel this fiverr is a dead horse .. $4 per order .. thats a lot of people to keep happy .
And it would appear problems are arising allready .

As I stated previously, I know people making over $1,000 per day, 7 days a week using Fiverr.

The key is to offer a Great Product or Service who's value far exceeds the cost to produce.

Then once you have their TRUST you upsell them, get repeat business, referrals, and more expensive gigs.

That's the KEY to ALL business, not just Fiverr.

Roscoe - I get referrals from my buyers, and repeat business more then once. I found out if I email them after noticing they buy a 2nd time from me, asking how it went and if they really liked it that much etc. They even referral others too me and buy from me more then once, and at times more then 2 items per order. Not going to be a millionaire but still nice.

I don't know a damn thing about Ebay but I am an expert at Marketing a business.

If you can capture the persons email address you should send them an email Immediately after their purchase Thanking them for the sale. (this also cuts down substantially Refunds or Disputes).

A day later you should do a follow-up with some advice or a free gift showing them how to make better use of whatever you sold them. No matter what you sell you can come up with an idea to send them.

Continue to send an email at least once a week. Give them Special Offers that are NOT available via Ebay. Send them to a Landing Page with your Offer and a PP Buy Now button.

You will get 10x the sales with current and repeat customers than you will with trying to acquire a New customer. People who are naive "think" that new customers is the key to business, it's not.

If you want to make real money (aka ME) then go Viral. Ask them to referr 3 friends via email, then give them a Massive Discount or a Free Gift.

Now you have increased your potential Buyers threefold without doing anything.

I normally send in a sheet of paper saying "Thank you for buying etc."

I've had a lot buy 2nd time, 3rd, 4th, 7th and one person 14 times! I had a few email me asking where the product was due to late post office problems, saying they had sent others to buy from me and that they are a good customer etc. I should save all 1,000 of those emails and email them all over again! Good idea! But I don't want to spam them either!

Having new customers is the key for mine. Going viral would love too! I think that tip works differently really for different products, mine is word of mouth!

I was thinking of having my products on peoples website who already have traffic coming, I either ship it for them or ship 50 of my products to them. I would even buy it back if it does not sell within 6 months! So they don't have to worry and nothing to lose really. That's what I plan on doing really in the near very near future!

If a person buys from you 4x, then they will buy from you forever until YOU blow it.

Almost impossible to survive in ANY business without repeat and referrals.

A quick video can do the same as above. Make public on Youtube and include your Ebay or Homepage link on your YouTube channel (like I do). Other YT viewers will see your video and buy from you. It also helps your Branding and your Positioning over other competitors.

80% of all buyers (incl ebay) do NOT buy based upon Price alone, regardless of what YOU may "think."

Maybe send your buyer a Coupon for their "Next" purchase from you.

If your buyer believes you have his/her best interet at heart and you stand out different from other vendors they are buying from then YOU will get ALL thier business.

Mine is kinda repeatedly! Personal or gifts! WOW! Nice 4 times eh? I mean I get like 80 to 170 orders per month, and been doing it for 18 months or so. But it's hard to remember peoples names and addresses, but at times I remember and check search it in my emails. And sure enough bam it's there! One lady 14 times!!!!! I had 3 accounts selling once, and she bough them from my other accounts also! LOL!

I once sold in a city in Florida, in Naples okay? 2 Weeks later another customer from that area! I've noticed if someone buys from a small town! A few weeks later it shows up on the map again! I've had Naples more then once and the customer who told me that they had also told someone about my product was from there! :eek:

At times I have 1 sale in a day, and you know what it is? REPEAT CUSTOMER! I've seen people sell 3 pounds or 3 kilos of ham on ebay this week someone on here showed me! I had no idea you could sell food! So nice eh? Food!

You are so right about them not buying over price. I got brands, and Some are $9.99 to $32.99 right? They buy the expensive ones! I've set up 2 auctions on 2 accounts, same brand, both running at the same time, one offering buy 2 get 3rd one free! And one just saying buy 2. Nothing free! And people buy 2 without researching for a better price. At 1 point I had 30% click rate to my auction, with 50% BUY RATE!!! My friend said it was too good of a number. No idea but sure worked wonders for me! 8 sales per day for weeks on just 1 auction! Starting out my first 3 months also.

I price my stuff 27.99 28.99 29.99 30.99 31.99 32.99 and people buy the 32.99 more! At times the 27.99! It's great really! I've had auctions for 1 year no sales, then someone buys, and it's like a train reaction, then others start to buy, cause it got ranked up in the search! And people see "oh 1 was sold, I'll get it also".

I already have the buy 2 get a 3rd one free, guy 3, get 4th one free, etc. And I offer free S&H! My auctions are very long I spend 20 hours doing it. I repeat stuff in there so people see it's a lot of info. And clicks in the brain reading things over and over again! ;)

It should only be a part of your marketing process. One of many ways to get traffic.

Paid traffic is the ONLY way to run a real business. Just like most here Pay Ebay for paid traffic. That's all Ebay is, a paid traffic source.

No big company relies on SEO only. Paid media, social sites, youtube videos, twitter, press releases, email marketing, etc... is the key to making sales.

Traffic + Conversion (buyers) = Profits

I also want to sell cosmetics for women this year I want to start researching for it. I told my wife that I'll find stuff to get from Canada to resell online or all over the web. But I want products that will bring me REPEAT customers only!!!! That's the key, if they buy it once and like it guess what? They'll be back for more or referral a friend or 2. And get those friends hooked on it! etc.

I have the lowest item selling the most at times or the highest. Just really depends. Like I said no one was buying 1 brand for the first 5 months or so, until one person buys then they all buy! The names are catchy!

Not all products are coupon stuff! I had one customer who buys 2, gets a 3rd one free. Leaves me a good comment "I didn't like it, but my mom loved it!"

Yeah I only pay $50 a month for their store and 5 cents per auction to run for 30 days and it's very good for 5 cents you get a lot of sales and traffic!

I never really understood the "Conversion (buyers) part. Do you mean for every 10,000 people who view the site 1.87% will be buyers?

YEAH! I mean at times I can sell 6 items and profit about $22 from each! $132 just from that one auction! It paid it self over 2,640 times! :eek:

Even if you broke even it's still worth the Investment. As a Business Consultant I show companies how they can lose money on the Initial sale, yet make a small fortune working the back-end of sales.

Your goal in any business is to gain a Customer, NOT make a sale (initially).

I'd rather have a 1,000 repeat customers vs 1,000 one and done buyers.

It cost $1.00 to retain a current customer vs $10.00 on average to gain a first time buyer.

So it's 10x cheaper to sell to existing customers.

If your business and it's marketing is based upon New Customer Acquisition (NCA) which many are, then you are doomed to fail. You can never reach your full potential.

If you have a product or service that can be sold over and over you can make a fortune breaking even or losing money on the first sale.

Delete that "mindset" of having to make money on the first sale and watch your PayPal start overflowing with cash.

Also my product has repeat customers or not. Depends if happy or not! Out of my control. Just trust me k? lol.

Well for $50 a month I got over 127 customers last year in Jan! Some repeat, mostly newer customers!

What is a good company to buy traffic that will get anyone sales? As you said yesterday SEO is crap you need to buy traffic! Or just place ads in the right locations? (contacting website owners) Is not the easiest at times.

New customers? Not necessary. One of the fastest ways to increase sales revenues is to borrow other companies customers, a JV (Joint Venture). If they have a website, an email list, a newsletter, etc... you can target thier list and split the profits.

You gain instant customers, instant cash, and now you have someone who wants you to use their list again. The other business of course needs to be a non competitor. Like a Plumber using a Heating and Cooing contractors list.

Have you heard of PPV (Pay Per View), very cheap way to get traffic.

NCA (New Customer Acquisition) should NEVER be more than 20% of your marketing budget.

Use the other 80% to continue to sell to existing customers and referrals.

If a funeral home can upsell then so can you. Think outside the box, much of this can be done automatically via email once you have the process down.

With more profits per sale with each Ebay item you can destroy your ebay competitors. Imagine if you and I both made $10.00 profit on the same item.

Because I had a process in place to make $13.00 profit per sale, I now have 30% more profits to market more effectively than you.

Or I can ONLY make a $7.00 profit on the initial sale, therefore destroying my competitor (aka WalMart) knowing that I'll make an additional $3.00 profit on the back-end. Your competitors won't be around for long and soon you will dominate your Niche.

PPV is a good way to get it. You pay $60 per 10,000 views I think? It comes down to under 1 cent per view for sure. But you got to target the websites for it! You can't just put an ad on a paint ball website for car parts, now if you put an ad to deal with paint ball you'll get more then just car parts!

I was looking into PPS, Paid Per Sale! (I think it's called) I think that one would be good but honestly I don't think it would work! PPV, I am still thinking about it! Been a while for many years. Cheap is not always the way to go! But it could be!

Yeah you can upsell them more, too me the warranty is not something I would have in mind. Unless you are selling a TV, chairs, tables, a couch, + a warranty would be good for those things. And everytime I buy a laptop, I always buy a bag with it and 1 year warranty. I ask for it myself!

You know what a perfect business is? Oil changes, you have repeat business, plus you can upsell them, air fliter, tires, A/C fluids, window washer fluid, break fluid, trans fluid, window washers, list goes on and on. In and out within 20 minutes.

One I use to want to get into was perfume! You buy 1, offer them deals for another brand, or send a tester with it. Probably is, too heavy to ship and competition on ebay for it is doing a good job! A good product too me is something you can sell to both sex, under $20 with repeat business!

Gillette is the best company (too me for the long run) I wish I could own! Repeat customers like CRAZY! ALL AGES (13+)! BOTH SEX! UNDER $9.99! Every store you walk into in the world holds their products! They have other products shaving cream, deo, shampoo, different types of razors, gift baskets, & more. Coca Cola is another one. Salt is another one. Sugar also.

I want to dominate my niche with flooding ebay with it! And being in control. I want to show up with at least 75% in the search engine when I hold the market. That's how I want to do it! Item ending each minute of the day for 30 days. So that I show up on the ending the soonest! While they only have 165 items ending per 30 days. And once they are hurt and not doing so well, be the only one standing. I wanted to do this 10 yrs ago no idea if it would work or not.

Walmaret did something like that. Plus they would sell DVD's for cheaper then wholesale just to hurt businesses in the area! Cause that's what targets people to leave the house to go to a STORE they spend more money on research/marketing then anything else!
