1.5 odds that it would be a girl and 2.4 on it being a boy. Made a nice little bit of profit on that myself

Ha, no. Some pretty long odds on some names.

I just figured that really it was 51% chance of a girl and 49% chance of a boy, so they were very good odds and worth a dable.

Only other time I bet is when Wales play Rugby and in the Grand National (on a 4 year winning role on the National now, all be it I bet on 4 horses each time)

If you have not heard this by now and just learned it from this board you are in deep trouble.

It is all over my apps on my computers, phone, on the radio, on the tv, in our newspapers etc.

I don't know what the big deal is. Two people had a baby. It happens all the time.

As a Welsh lady and a single mother who pays taxes I am really really pleased that my hard earned taxes are going towards helping such a poor hard done by family. I have no idea how they cope on the meagre amount of money that they get from the public purse. As you can tell I am a 'Boston Tea Party' fan

In their defence they did give up a lot of land, art ect in return for a set allowance and they do do a lot of good generally.

I know the feeling. Here in the USA we have 50% of us who pays federal taxes, holding up those others who dont pay a single cent into federal taxes yet use ( should I say abuse ) the services like crazy.

LOL - we have a lot of people here Sandy who truly believe they are 'entitled' - my useless ex was one - I don't mind paying my way but sometimes I think I am the only one trying. Here in the Valleys there is a large percentage who have no intention of ever working - and what's more do not see why they should. Perhaps I live in the wrong part of the country

At least we now have the £500 and £350 a week caps. Still way to high IMO, but a start at least.

They say "there aren't any jobs" but people travel 100s of miles from Eastern Europe and walk into jobs. What they mean is there are not any jobs where they can do nothing and get paid £20 an hour. I despair. I pick my daughter up from school and there are women there, smoking their heads off and swearing, complaining because the system will not give them what they want. One day I will pluck up enough courage to suggest they get a job
