I still say Kobe and lbj > Jordan. Didn't like all 3 of them, but yea, scoring ability, Kobe. All around player, lbj. Call me crazy, but I always thought Jordan was overhyped for ads like Nike.
He had lots of favored calls, such as that one shot he made over the jazz. Used his hands to push off. I was like wtf was that? That's an offensive foul!
But yea, top 2 players has to be Kobe and lbj.
I'm not going to say where Jordan ranks. There's tons of other good players u can make an argument for. What about Kareem? Magic? Bird? Malone? Kareem and Malone are the top 2 in overall scoring, way ahead of Jordan.
I don't know, I wasn't as big on Jordan as everyone else.

I think James could have played at a high level in the late 80's and early 90's. Not so sure the Kobe could of. Kobe was given a long time to develop because Shaq another player I couldn't stand. Was so dominant. I swear that man got mugged every game for about 6 years.

@vogeltron
Who got mugged every 6 years? About Kobe crying for not having fouls, that's one of the reasons why I think Kobe is better than Jordan. Kobe got hacked tons of times and I didn't see a call. Went to 7 finals appearances, won 5. Jordan went to 6, won 6. Kobe had a better FT%, don't know about overall fg% yet, but yea, Kobe had the 81 point game. There are more stats I can use to back me up, but I don't feel like looking it up. LOL. But just on those alone, most people say it's close. I'll say Kobe is way better than Jordan.
And no, I can't stand Kobe either. I was rooting for Sacramento during the WCF against the Lakers that year.

I mean the guy got fouled nearly every time he touched the ball. Kobe is cry baby. He forced Shaq out then complained he never had any players. Lebron James personally carried the Cavaliers for years to the NBA Finals and deep in the Playoffs. He never had any help in Cleveland and when he left the team had the worst record in basketball.
I don't know how to compare Jordan and Lebron. But James is way way way more important to any team than Kobe will ever dream of being. Not to mention Kobe was always a black hole. Forcing up dumb shots, etc. James always has his teammates involved very good passer.

Whether you like him or don't like him that's one thing but anyone who says Jordan isn't the greatest player ever doesn't know basketball. Period.

I research list of the greatest players ever and Jordon was no 1 on them all.
2 through 10 were mixed.
Kobe was only mentioned one time at no 9 on any of them.
Kobe is not even in my top 25. His early rings were handed to him by Shaq.
Do not forget, Jordon was in Chicago and started the ball rolling why Kobe benefited by being in LA.
Kobe in the same place as Jordon would be lucky to get a ring.
Lebron has the overall skills far better then any player I have ever watched play the game. So many things he can do in every category that no other player has or can do.
He can shut down anyone. Can rebound with anyone. Can run a fast break. Can score anywhere on the floor. Just so much he can do that other players can or could not do.
LOL Kareem should never be on any list. One trick pony. Lazy, do not get to half court to play defense most of the game. He should not be listed on the same page as Russell or Chamberlain.

I will say Steve Blake is a nice addition to a team where there 2nd unit had been downright horrible. Keeps curry from having to play the entire game. West is still very competitive. Even at 14 games over .500 Warriors have to keep winning to ensure a playoff spot.
I will say as of right now. In the West the Rockets are playing phenomenal basketball. They may very well be the team to beat in West.
Would also watch out for the Grizzlies who slowly climbing back into the playoff picture. If they get in and Gasol (like Bogut) can go. They are a scary team to have to face.

Like the NFL you can really see the 3-4 teams we will have in the final 4 teams pretty much.
Might be a sleeper come out.

Rockets are really playing well. Looks more and more like OKC should have Traded Westbrook and signed Harden. The Western Conference is going to be fun this year. Even looking at the standings. About 4 teams battling with good records batting for that final playoff spot.

I hope people aren't sleeping on the Spurs, they almost won it last year. Miami also has a chance for 3peat. its gonna be a good playoff this year

On very good team will miss out on the playoffs.
I could honestly give reasons why each of the 9 teams in the West could win. I think seeding is going to play such a big factor in the west. You got run and gun teams like the Warriors/Suns. Then bigger more Physical teams like the Spurs and the Grizzlies. Then more balanced teams like the Blazers and Rockets. Just so hard to say. Thunder could go on a run. I would not be surprised at all if you see a 7 or 8 seed win at-least in the first round of the west.

I like the Spurs and Rockets and the Blazers might slide in there with some luck. Clippers can be dangerous but not physical enough. OKC seems to have lost what they had going.

It was a fun dynamic playoff series last year - should be a good repeat match-up indeed.

Spurs should have grabbed a power forward or center to help them handle bigger teams.

Does not matter who is available. Good teams make moves to make themselves better and trade if they have to.
