I'm sure I would do something else. I don't know exactly what that would be, but I'd find something.
A fiend of mine makes a very good living just working events. She sells whatever there will be a demand for. She goes to craft shows, fairs, or even just the beach. She sells cold pop, water, cotton candy, popcorn - whatever fits the time of year. Her biggest deal is the Gay Pride Parade in Chicago, It always attracts hundreds of thousands of people and is held the first week of July, so the heat can be brutal. She walks along the parade route and sells ice cold water at $5 per bottle. She has cars parked along the route stuffed with ice and bottles of water. She told me that last year she went with her 2 daughters and made over $10k in ONE DAY. Of course, most things are not THAT profitable. But she does very well and works mostly weekends. |
