Lots of movement already.
Lets talk 2014 NFL. |

LOL
They are adding some real horses to their defense.
:heh: |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Interesting - Broncos at least trying on the defense...spectacular failure - time to restart.
Waiting to see what 49ers will do |

Waiting to see what 49ers will do | Failure? To get the the SB would not be considered a failure.
They have the best offense in the league and now added some very good defensive players to make them totally solid.
Did you not see the niners signed a QB? |
| Sandy D | 03-13-2014 05:31 PM | Re: 2014 NFL Season This proves 49ers have no confidence in Kap any longer. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Very true.
My boi Sproles got moved too from the Saints! |
| Sandy D | 03-13-2014 11:59 PM | Re: 2014 NFL Season What is boi?
He is a has been and wont help anyone any longer.
Had 1-2 good years and that is pretty much it. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season I liked his style anyhow.
Smith also got released from the Panthers - fun movements going on |

I am not convinced Josh McCown or someone else would not have the same or better results for less. With the Salary cap you can not afford to tie up that much money in an unproven QB. When you team is so dependent on the Defense and the 0-Line. That money must be spent keeping both sides of the trenches solid.
Kapernick is not Peyton Manning. He is a very replaceable part. If you threw him on a crap team like the Browns or Jaguars he would be terrible. Not a Manning, Brees, Rodgers that can take a crummy team and make them viable.
I am honestly not convinced that newly acquired Gabbert isn't better than CK. Gabbert was thrown into the worst team in the NFL. CK was given a Rolls Royce and F'D it up on multiple occasions. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season What would be a good option for the 49ers then vogeltron? |

By all means they need to keep that Defense and O-Line together. Sinking $18 Million into a QB not names Brees, Manning, Brady, Rogers would be idiotic. The bears did this with Cutler, and so did the Cowboys. Now they can't afford to keep any of the pcs around them. |

I agree. They have all the pieces of a championship team other then QB.
Had they kept Smith 2 years ago I believe they could have won it all.
Bad move on dealing him and going with CK. Probably will cost them any shot at winning it all.
Denver is piling up better D and making all the right moves. Indy is getting better, Seattle will be better, KC needs some good picks. All teams moving up and 49ers make one mistake like this and will be hurting.
I also agree, all the pieces of the puzzle are in place. Now be bold and trade CK for a vet QB and bring in Bortles to learn. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season It will be something to see if KC can build from last year - vet QB for SF is a smart move |
| vogeltron | 03-26-2014 06:16 AM | Re: 2014 NFL Season DeSean Jackson looks like he is going to be released. Going to be interesting to be where he lands.
I do think this off-season has proven one thing thus far. Salary cap don't matter how long you have been apart of the franchise etc.
Basically everyone but Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Manning and a few other QB's are replaceable. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Agree vogeltron - I dont know a lot about Jackson but it is interesting to see the options |
| Sandy D | 03-27-2014 01:05 AM | Re: 2014 NFL Season Just think 2 years ago Vick and Jackson looked like they were unstoppable. |

Gabbert will be lucky if he can stay in the NFL as a 3rd stringer... yes, he is that bad... |
| Futuremogul888 | 03-27-2014 06:29 PM | Re: 2014 NFL Season Sanchez just landed in Philly and I'm happy to hear that. As backup quarterbacks go you could do worse then Sanchez. He won't see a snap anyway unless the Eagles are blowing a team out by +30. Nick Foles has learned to get rid of the ball instead of taking the hits so I expect him to stay healthy the 2014 season.
Sad to hear about D Jackson but he has always been a problem child. The new contract demands never seem to end with him because he spends money like water. He is one of the players that will be bankrupt as soon as he leaves the league. Kinda reminds me of another Philly athlete: Allen Iverson.
The saddest thing about the D Jackson situation is that the Eagles are basically just looking to get rid of him. All they are seeking is a 3rd round draft pick. |

He has played much better when dummies like Nolan/Singletary weren't running the team. |
| Ted123 | 03-27-2014 09:40 PM | Re: 2014 NFL Season I would agree with you on that completely.... the only thing is how many quarterbacks would make Chad Henne look like Joe Montana ? |
| Ted123 | 03-27-2014 09:45 PM | Re: 2014 NFL Season another thing is the Jags are known for drafting really bad quarterbacks ( other than Mark Brunell) I specialize in selling sports memorabilia (for a living) and when the Jags drafted Gabbert..... I actually had never even heard of him..... and now we see why... |
Re: 2014 NFL Season So excited about this Patriots team
Revis, Browner, LaFell
And getting Mayo, Wilfork, Vollmer, Gronk, Vereen back from injury are almost like big free agent additions. The most either of those guys played was just 8 games or less last year, so it'll be great to [hopefully] have them for a full season
Talib and his chronic hip/quad injury problem can have fun in Denver. I was sick of seeing him sit out for the biggest game every single year for us. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Lot of potential for the Patriots but injuries are a big question...always possibility of re-injury |

Well Mr Sanchez, Carroll was right, you are not an NFL QB and Pete has a ring.
I hope Sanchez finished his college degree. |

Tebow is better than Sanchez. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Thoughts on Johnny Manziel?
I think he'll be out of the league within 3-5 years. |

I think he'll be out of the league within 3-5 years. | I dont give him that long. He gets injured a lot and several hits like he took in college will do him in. He wont be able to run and hide like he did at A&M in the NFL because many players on the other side will be faster then he is. |
Re: 2014 NFL Season Manziel will really have to pick up - he isnt that big either....one big injury = game over.
What's his college degree? :FF: |

Looking at Stanford. Then looking at Cal Berkley. Suppose to be prestigious school.
DeSean Jackson? Marshawn Lynch? I mean really who took these guys SAT and did their homework. Tedford was a chump. Embarrassing to that school.
Unreal how proper Harbaugh turned that program around than Shaw ran with it. Cal clearly sold it soul to the devil. Seriously Berkley is suppose to be an elite school. What a freaking joke. |

They do.
What I meant was medical as in his body being ripped apart by one of those DE who will run him down and crush him.
He got hurt many times last year playing in college, NFL is a totally new ball game and I dont see him being able to handle many hits. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:41 AM. | |
