They have been playing a bit better. They started off as the best team in baseball then had about 2 months of poor play. The hot start kept them in the WC race.

That's the story of the Jays from early June...big fail run

Things have been clicking for my Giants the past few weeks. Go figure. Petit breaking the Record for most consecutive outs. Go figure. I am hoping the can chase down the Dodgers but who knows.

I have been to Coors field multiple times. It is an absolutely beautiful field and great ballpark. But the way baseball is played there is more like a Softball game than a Baseball game. Always crazy scoring games there.

Never been to Coors field - would be nice to see

Solid sweep of the Rays by the Jays

Sucky loss to the Red Sox last night...bah

Another loss - Wildcard spot is likely gone

San Fran Giants are ripping it up!

So Blue Jays now become team with longest playoff drought with KC Royals qualifying for postseason play.

Who is going to win it all...

That game with the a's and royals was insane that was so far out that it will probably be the game of the year!

The players of those teams and the fans will never forget that game WOW!

The fans really got their money's worth - I was shocked...figured A's would win this

Epic Collapse by the A's. Congratulations to the Royals after 29 years you deserve a Playoff win. Billy Beane and the whole "money ball" and "saber-metrics" is a joke. Having a background in statistics if you had half a brain you would have kept Cespedes and started Gray or Samardzija. Probably would have never tanked if it wasn't for the Lester trade. Beane should be fired for this. The mad Genius who made one to many moves. What a joke. I hate the A's and I fell out of my chair when they traded Cespedes. What a moron he must be drinking the Kapernick lose you mind I am an idiot Cool Aid.

@vogeltron, the Cespedes movement was an odd one, agree.

SF blew out the Pirates - sent them packing

I like other sports and teams. But I am a S.F. Giants fan that is the only team across and sport I truly bleed for. Was a great win. Bumgarner was amazing as he has been in past postseason victories. The Giants have a depleted roster with injuries. But as they and other teams have proven in the playoffs it is who gets how at the right time.

Bruce Boachy as much as he drives me crazy not bunting over runners etc. He is a Master of match ups with the bullpen etc. The Nationals are extremely good. That 5 game series is going to be interesting.

You're right - the series will be intense ...especially with SFs recent years of playoff success....the matchups are going to be very interesting

And the AL continues with battering of Tigers by Orioles

The Giants and Cardinals have played in many close playoff games the past several years. The experience really showed today.

Again, like every year. The Tigers starting pitching is Awesome. When they get to the bullpen it is horrible.

Cardinals came back - what an explosion of 8 runs. Royals are taking it hard to the Angels.

18 Innings Giants over the Nats. They absolutely stole that game. Unreal how the Giants play in the postseason it is like a team that seems to refuse to lose. Will see how the final games play out.

6 1/2 Hours of baseball was absolutely Torture. So happy my Giants got the win. Will be interesting to see how Bumgarner in game 3 vs Fister.
