| As a Giants fan I will admit when it comes to the Playoffs. This has been one of the luckiest teams ever. Brooks Conrad in 2010 with the Braves booting the balls. Gold Glover Scott Rolen booting the ball in game 3 of of NLDS in 2012. 2012 Zito pitching the game of his life in St. Louis. Unreal how things have worked out for the giants over the past 5 years.
For all I know or anyone knows God favors them for whatever reason. In 2010 I though well this is an unlikely team. In 2012 I was like they won all the elimination games but they still have solid pitching.
2014: No Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum sucks they pitched Petit who was amazing multiple times over him. Like Ishikawa, Petit, Vogelsong all grabbed off Baseball lost and found list the past few seasons.
There formula is simple. Play good enough to stay in the game. Then wait for the other team to screw it up. That is why they are in the World Series. They should have really not got past the nationals. That 18 inning game 2 was over in the 9th but Matt Williams (whom I love as a Giants Fan) was an idiot and took Zimmerman out of the game. Stole one there, stole game 3 of the NLCS with the walk off bunt.
Unreal how things just seemingly work out for the Giants and Bruce Boachy makes all the right calls. The World Series should be awesome. |
