Default Time for a new camera, any suggestions

So looks like its time to get a new one. Anybody have a preference on brands pixels stuff like that? Gonna be used strictly for Ebay and inside pics really don't use a shadow box or anything like that, just different backgrounds is fine with me.

Thanks in advance for any comments and if i don't get any.... carry on Lol

Oh yeah looking to spend around a hundred but will go up to 250.00 if needed

I did about 6 months of research before I decided on a...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5: Digital Photography Review

One of the Best Point & Shoot Camera's you can buy for dollars spent.

They are about $150. for a used one on eBay.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 is almost the same Camera and these can be had for about $100.

If you decide on either one of these, I have already purchased eBooks for both and could email you one.

Anyway, both of these are a good start on your search for your next Camera.

Yes, this Camera is FANTASTIC!

People that know me, know that I don't buy anything without LOT'S & LOT'S of research.

Try and find one in the Original Box with the correct accessories, lightly used. Both of the ones I found were indistinguishable from new. But I waited and watched for the correct deals.

This Camera is Great for low light and florescent photography.

Plus it is compatible with the Eye-Fi Cards which I also highly recommend you look into. An Eye-Fi Pro X2 SD Card sends your pictures directly to a folder in your Computer. NICE!

Pro X2 | Eyefi

THanks for the info. Will also look into the "Pro X2 | Eyefi" that would make my work easier. My old camera i had for over 6 years (Nikon COOLPIX 7500) did the job but running more accounts and taking alot more pics so it finally had its day

Cant wait to see the thread rolling again, very informative for the Newbs plus the OLds

I'd like a 'Canon 60D EOS DSLR' but then I remember my smartphone has a pretty good camera so it just doesn't make sense right now... one day maybe..

Right now, even the cheapest cameras usually take VERY GOOD pictures. Unless you are taking photographs for Time Magazine, most smartphones will suffice. Or, a $50 or $100 camera.

In my opinion (I am not a professional photographer) the way that pictures turn out with digital cameras has more to do with the lighting and other environmental variables than it does with the actual camera. Several years ago the cameras mattered a lot more, but today even my smartphone camera takes 4 megapixel pictures and I have a low-end phone.

I don't want to piss on anybodys parade but I have had Lumix cameras in the family before they for me, they were poor. I have Nikon DSLR myself so perhaps it was just a big difference btween £600 camera and £150 camera.
That opinion is based on all 'round game, not just eBay.

When it comes to eBay, I have found that even the ****tiest old Digi camera with more than 5MP is fine, just get a tripod and you are golden.

The best and most bang or the buck camera for eBay? iPhone or one of the new Samsungs.
If you have shaky hands and don't want the whole thing to look like a dog****, then just get one of those mini tripods for them as well, it's great.
Iphone is great for taking photos at random places in the house. Point and shoot, move on. Plus you can do like 17 million other things with it.

I use my "smartphone" (Samsung) for pictures. I have lens attachments and they are pretty damn awesome. Macro, wide angle, etc. Does it do what a $3000 camera can do? Probably not. Does it do good enough to look professional? You bet.
