| That's the right way with anything like phones, tablets, desktops or laptops. If it's not turned on when you drop it in water, wait and don't turn it on for at least half a week. You can then turn it on and it should in most cases work perfectly fine, just make sure no water is hiding in between the battery or other removable components.
If it was turned on, kill the power and do the same as above. You have less chance of it working, but it's possible.
You could chuck a laptop into a swimming pool, then leave it to dry by taking it apart and waiting over a week. It's more likely it will work when you turn it on.
It doesn't really matter if components get wet when they're turned off, but if they're wet whilst in use.. probably going to fry. |
