I think that eBay/Paypal needs stealth accounts because with limitation rates they are doing, they decrease the number of people that do transactions online. Just imagine if they banned all the users out their and stealth is not allowed. eBay/Paypal will cease to exist. What do you guys think?

If they ban everyone selling rubbish / phake / just bad items, they will loose at least 50% of their profit. That is why EB is stronger than Amazon - more people can trade without being banned.

PayPal is not going anywhere and is expanding their business at many different levels eBay probably being one of the smallest.

Ebay needs LESS sellers. I search diamond wedding stone looking for a particular rare stone(found it) and more than 100,000 listings came up.
That is at least 99,000 more than they need! All those sellers are clogging up the feed and making a worse buying experience.
Ebay did me a huge favor and purged about 800 sellers out of 1100 in a nitch I sell in over the past couple weeks. You know what? I can actually find items I want to buy now.

Got to agree with you there Yankee. Its a real PITA trying to find things on eBay somtimes. Their catagories are so broad that 10000's of items fit into it sometimes.

I believe the statics are that 90+% of all items sold on ebay are on the first page of a search.

It does get a bit depressing when you have to wade through 4/5 pages to find the item you want so your likely right on that one
Before I ever get to that stage I head to Amazon to but items instead now though

I've become so lazy that I don't even want to do one mousewheel scroll, I just want my items quick.
UNLESS, I need something ASAP, then I pick the one who does free express delivery.

Stealth accounts will likely live on. eBay is in a strange place because it has to compete with Amazon on some of the staple products. But by purging sellers they have hurt themselves with sellers that don't sell items that compete with amazon. Collectables and other items that don't really fit in with Amazon's concept. It is an interesting dynamic because I sell on both and I prefer to buy certain things on Amazon opposed to eBay. There are certain things I prefer to buy on eBay opposed to Amazon.

With stealth accounts rapidly growing mainly from sellers getting screwed over by dishonest buyers where the seller then has to make a new account thats not in there name or any of there actual information to keep selling all because of a dishonest buyer that scammed them.
I could see in the future stealth accounts becoming the backbone of Ebay.
However when you said ''Just imagine if they banned all the users out their and stealth is not allowed''
That is very possible from happening its called the Marketplace Fairness Act.
People don't really realize what that bill would actually do to Ebay and Amazon If it's ever enacted.
That bill would require you to pay taxes on every single sale you make and you would have to give Paypal a SSN for every new account you made right from the start if your making a new account.
First of all there are so many people that would never give Ebay/Paypal or Amazon their SSN (Especially the people that just buy on Ebay). I mean just think about it Ebay got hacked in 2014 and would be an even bigger target now with every new account having a SSN attached to it.
Secondly once you get kicked off Ebay from getting scammed by a dishonest buyer or Ebay decides to show you the door and suspends your indefinitely from selling. You wont be able to just make a new account like you can today you will have to give Paypal a SSN right from the start of the account creation.
So that for the most part will be the death of new stealth accounts in the United States because giving Paypal a phake SSN is a big NO NO and will land you in more trouble than you will ever want to be in. Also whatever SSN you used if your Paypal balance would be in the red that would ruin that persons credit seeing how Paypal would have the SSN to ruin.
If you were dumb enough to use someone else's SSN that's not yours and when there credit is ruined and there not the cause of it that will get law enforcement at your door using Bank/IP in put you in prison.
So when you said ''eBay/Paypal will cease to exist.''
I can tell you this if that bill is ever enacted and no one changed there ways Ebay will slowly roll down hill from so many sellers never being able to get back on and make new accounts in the United States from being scammed by dishonest buyers or Ebay showing their accounts the door. Along with buyer accounts that get terminated and not being able to get back on to buy.
I hate how they call it Marketplace Fairness Act there is nothing fair about it. That bill protects large companies that takes their manufacturing overseas and does nothing for the people in America except crush small business and make it very hard on hard working individuals.
Thank god for John boehner he is the saving grace of America and the reason we dont have a total outright communist dictatorship right now. The Liberals have pushed that bill hard now for over 3 years and he has stopped it dead in its tracks. There is nothing fair about that bill its should be called Marketplace Unfairness Act. The government is just trying to pass it and brush it off as being fair when it's clearly not so they can get more tax money to give to lazy people that live on Welfare.

However in some cases for certain Items I prefer eBay. For example I just replace my Digital Camera after 10 years. I could have bought the same one from independent sellers off of amazon but only had stock photos. With eBay I was able to get a full description and many pictures of the item along with a great description of the history. Something not present on Amazon.
While I agree in many instances it is not a one size fits all situation. I completely agree Amazon is better in many categories, I just saw I paid $110 for my prime membership myself and my Dad use.
In many cases Amazon is a much much superior version of Half.com with regards to how listing are viewed.
