couldnt think of a better way to title it.

buy i remember a few years ago there was a poster that said he was in the works on creating a new ebay competition website. anybody know what came of this person?

i remember said person claimed to have several backers.

dont remember much more.

This is what they all say, but it never happens. Most people just don't have the marketing power or established reputation such as ebay or amazon.

There have been around 10 different sites created by users on this forum. None of them are still around today. The only Competitor that can work will have to be created by a large corporation.

I agree, always a lot of hype but can never get enough sellers and more importantly buyers on board!

Bonanza is starting webstores. Just a monthly fee, no after sales fees. However you must do all your own traffic work, besides that on Bonanza, which is not a lot unless you subscribe to the traffic upgrades.

In holiday season it is worth it. You can sell prices 10-15% higher then ebay, which comes out just about even with fees in end. I always cancel plan in off season though and just rely on random traffic.
