About a year ago, some "Nigerian prince" guy tried to scam me via PP. It was like that:

1) he found my car ad in the Net.
2) he offered to pay via PP.
3) he sent me a phake PP mail, stating that I've received the money. He didn't even check, if there is such PP account.
4) he stated that his shipping company does not accept PP, so I need to do a wire to them, once I get the PP payment, which included these expenses.
5) wire details were of a private person :D

What a loser.

I come across these type of scam at least once a day... i swear they copy and paste these messages lol....Most of the address I've seen are in Illinois so I'm a bit paranoid selling to anyone in Illinois even if their transaction are legit.

@jjjj, what some of these scammers do is they will ask for your PP email in order to transfer the fund. What you will receive is a F@KE email notification saying that you have received payment from such and such, and you need to process the order immediately. It will look exactly like those email that you receive from Paypal. It's best if you log into your PP and check every transaction before shipping anything else.

@muzzie, there is nothing wrong with the address. I bet you this fool lives there and he pissed on himself when I threatened to contact the local PD. lol... well I did actually contacted his local PD. :D

Ahh I see just like this only this one involves a bit of eBay in it: Scammers Fool eBay Sellers with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ PayPal Emails

Edit: relized link not working because the forum automatically changed the word fa*ke to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ in the url

My brother in law was looking for a car on Craigslist and it was a total scam. Supposedly the seller was in the Military...and they would have the car shipped to us and so forth, it was a total scam.

@Rsot, must be a lot or else they wouldn't still be attempting this for the past 2 years now.

Ok, so after I asked for him to send me the payment with the PP email that I had provided, he then used a 3rd account to throw a new offer. I provided the same email because I had a feeling it the same guy testing the water to see if my email I had provided is legit. This f@ke PP email I received from him is a bit different from the rest, but at least it'll give you guys an idea of how it looks like. Notice how it is going to the same city but it's an APARTMENT this time. Could possibly be his real address this time. I'll definitely contact his local PD for this.

This guy seriously won't give up... another bogus email but this one looks better. If the FBI willing to get involve, I'd send him a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ package with real tracking number just to have him pick it up.
